Need some assistance

Today was the first day of class and once I sat down I found a HB9 that I was interested in. As class got out and we walked the next building I caught up to her, waited a few seconds then initiated convo. she greeted me openly and we talked for the entire time we were moving to the next building. We get there and I ask which class she is going to, surprisingly it is the same one i am going to. I ask her to save me a seat so I can go to the bathroom, she says ok and smiles. So I walk into class she is easy to find and has her stuff in the chair next to her, I walk up and ask is this seat taken (with a smile) and she moves her stuff. So everything is goin fine, class gets over and i suggest we should hang out. She gives me her number and I have her input her name in my phone cuz she has an interesting one.

So a half hr later i send her a text that says. Hey its brandon from class, i just wanted you to have my number as well.

This is where it takes a horible direction and i dont know what to do next.

hb9: I find it odd that u would now speak 4 weeks 2 the day u picked up the furniture nd didnt speak then so what is the real reason

Me:? wow. did u send that to the wrong person or what? cuz i just met you today!

hb9: My nephew brandon sent a txt from this number statin it was his new number

me: well that awkward. haha but this is brandon from micro and bio 101

hb9:i dont have time to play games so please dont tie up my phone lines with this foolishness i have clients that need me

me: is this michon?

hb9: please stop txtin my number


Wtf happened in this interaction and should i try and talk to her the next time we have class? I must stress that I did nothing of the such to force her for her number. I was fun, playfull, respectful i offered her my sweater cuz she mentioned somethin bout being cold. she at every point of our interaction seemed into the fact that we were gettin to know each other.

Yea man go up to her and find out what the fark thats all about! Blatantly the wrong number. Cant let that sh1t go, if you ignore her wouldnt it look really weak? Might just have wrote it wrong.

hahahahahahahahahaha omg that is freaking awesome. if she gave you the wrong number that was funny in itself. but then if she put on an act to get you to stop texting her that was also freaking hilarious. LMFAO. ok well first off if she did either i would freeze her out and not talk to her for a couple class periods and then maybe after you dont seem so needy/clingy then go in for the kill and initiate convo and then just bring up the fact that you think that she gave you the wrong number cause you had this girl that was like the devil texting you. this time remember. exchanging is better than getting. and confirming the number right there is best. dont take the phone away just say hey press the green button and it will call your phone. then neg her like "wait!! before you press that button. r u a serious stalker cause i cant get another restraining order after you blow up my phone and find out where i live!" haha that will help lower the Bitch Shield and then if she did try to give you the wrong number she will more than likely change it to her real one so when she calls her phone she doesnt look stupid! haha

ps by the way. that is freaking awesome. maybe she knew you were trying to hit on her a lot. maybe taking two class periods and then initiating convo and then just talking for two class periods before the number would be better. just going in for the kill she knows what game ur playing

Yea dood I can't figure out what happened cuz it really seemed like we hti it off! I don't think she intentionally gave me the wrong number. So I suppose ill jus wait c how she responds next time I c her and ask hey what's up? ( In not those words haha).

lol well she actually could have gavec u the right number. cause she said it cousin was brandon. brandon is a common name but damn not that common. its up to you. personally i think Freezing Her Out maybe she will come to you

fark and I thought the girl I was talkn to was crazy! Either way this goes keep us updated. You got some good advice with the Freeze Out too, that shud make her feel bad. Only thing is if she was taking those classes would you think she was that careless?

this kinda confuses me crob, I may need further explanation. In between classes I gave no real signs of interest, I didnt say she was hot or thought anything she said was amazing lol. I just asked her what she thought of our first class and that jus led to a natural flow of convo. Then the reason i find importance in her saving me a seat is, the second class we went to has 300 + students. like I said she was right there when I walked in with her purse on the open seat next to her. When she did this I'm like hell yea, this chick just invested in this interaction (ioi). When I asked for her number it was like this " so since we have 2 classes together and we seemed to have fun talking maybe we should get together to study sometime!"

So should i just not make any effort the next class and she what effort she makes. Is that what u mean by Freeze Out?

I wouldn't Freeze Out because if it wasn't her then she'll think you flaked on her after a good thing. if it was going good, then she likes you. I'd call her from a different phone, call no text and say "Hey, it's branded from (class) Did you text me? I think I might have gotten the number wrong." Itll be harder for her to be a bitch over the phone knowing she's going to see you tomorrow and to do this in class might be harder. if she says "no" be like, "cool, cuase so crazy chick went off on me thinking I was some stalker she knows named brandon, yada yada" and you have a good laugh. if she says "yes, something something, crazy brandon guy" be like "oh, I thought there was some confusion because they things you were saying didn't have any connection to us chatting in class and I didn't even know you 4 weeks ago.."

UNLESS... Sounds like you might have picked up some furniture from her (or somewhere she was, work, friends, etc??) and that you saw her, or she saw you, and you made no effort to initiate, so she's giving you sh1t, prolly a challenge/ congruence test about not talking to her then, in which case you can challenge her and give her some hoops and be like "well I didn't notice you, you should have said hello so we could've kicked off our friendship a month ago" or "Well I was in a hurry," or "I had a gf at the time and wasn't i nthe Mindset to talk to new girls" or "looked like you were with that big ugly dude that was there" or "You were giving me the mean eye and sending mad negative hormones and stink-aura at me so I figured you were prolly on the rag." haha might wanna word that better. but sometimes the "it was obvious you're on the rag" routine can be a pretty strong IOD, and make them drop the guard.

I wouldn't do freeze out until you DO discover it was her bein a bizatch without cause, nor would I wait until class and try and bring a case pointing out all the above plausibuilities because either way it will appear to be pleading/ try hard. Just call her from a different # (my phones dead, etc) and put her on the spot in and inquisitive/ "you wouldn't believe what happened" funny way. If things went as well as you think, this one is madsalvagable, if not..there's lotsa 9's at colelge

upon rereading the exchange it appears she has a nephew named brandon who "called to give her his new #" appearently she saw him 4 weeks ago and he didn't even say hi so, "why would I need your # now?" then when you wrote back she thought he was in class or something (she's not very bright/ can't read txts) and said "I'm busy lil nephew, quit bothering/ texting me.." appearently, not sure, but looks like her nephew is brandond and she doesn't want texts from him... I'd still put her on the spot from another phone and be like "wierd girl...I'm might have to find a sharper classmate to study with" haha.. but either way, your # is tainted in her mind, so don't call/ text from in until you talk to her on a different phone or in person.

well actually freezing out will show you have a life and that she isnt a big priority and hasnt earned that quite yet. and then she will think about you and wonder and then when you come back and show interest you will be just fine. she will know you didnt reject her, she will just think you got busy. personally i wouldnt have texted her immediately. i would have waited but to a man his own!
