awkward number close, now what

thanks. i didn't resort to that as she eventually answered me. my line failed pretty hard though as her response was 'what does that mean'. either she doesn't like texting or isn't a fan of me, so i'll avoid this from now on, find a girl who's more fun

How the hell did you do this??? I'm in a similar situation and I don't have the balls to do this, and it's the only option I have with a girl in one of my classes... So how exactly did you do this? just walked up to her and asked "Hey can I have you number?" ???

I sat next to her so each day I would try to say something to her even if it was stupid or not much. Would also time leaving so we'd walk out together and would try to start a convo again there. At this point I was still nervous as hell around her and probably sounded like an idiot. But one day I decided beforehand that I would get her number. I really didn't have the balls to do it and was nervous as hell, but as she was walking away I just blurted out "wait, can I have your number?" if I did this to a girl i've never talked to before, it wouldn't have worked. luckily i guess she saw something in me or just didn't want to say no since we'd talked a bit already.

now we're actually decent friends and i'm not nervous talking to her anymore and i've had her over once for a study session. i'm not getting too far but its something.

We have talked a little, I sit next to her when ever i can but we only talk stupid things about the class, just a few words.
2 other things: 1 she's ALWAYS with her friend (another girl who has a boyfriend), they're always next to each other and they leave class together.
And 2: since there's only one class left I added her to facebook, thinking that's my last option. That was a week ago and she hasn't accepted me, it still says "friend request sent", so I don't know... I'm really thinking about asking for her number the next and last class...

Do it man, its your last class. Do you want to think back from here on out how you wish you'd have done it? I'd rather be rejected by taking action than to have simply done nothing. Either way, you face the fact that you might not get the girl. But the odds are a bit better if you take the route of asking for her number

You've already talked to her, so you're pretty much in the same boat I was. Strike up a conversation, anything, then just ask. Sure, other guys will recommend better ways of doing it, but if you're anything like me you might be too nervous to do anything right. Just make the decision to ask her and do it. Say hey, this is our last class, we should stay in touch. Then hand her your phone.

The last class is next Tuesday. But I’m now worried about her not accepting me on facebook, sometimes I think I should take that as a hint and leave her alone, sometimes I think that doesn’t matter because she only adds people she knows well.

Whatever, what I really don’t know is what to do about her friend, they’re always together, and they leave together, I really don’t think I can pull this off with her friend right next to her all the time. what should I do about that?
