One thing to know about performing illusions

I must mention this to anyone whos beginning magic whether it be for the art itself or for picking up.

whenever you are about to pull off that key moment or sleights or whatever, speak with the audience. keeping making eye contact, interact while you do it.

theres many times where i need their eyes off my hands for a split second, so i can ask them "so lets recap, what just happened?", or "are you keeping up?" (smile, fark eyes, etc)

they would say yeah, etc etc, force that eye contact, interact.

this way the chances of you flopping goes down, AND they arent just watching the trick, youre reminding them that their watching YOU.
