magic openers

wat r some good magic openers ?
it seeams wierd to open with magic.
any good tricks that can be taught?

Personally I wouldn't open with magic. I would open with something else, than introduce a magic trick in later on to make yourself a little more mysterious.

The other night I talked to these girls for like 15 minutes, then did a magic trick where u make a match stick disappear and then reappear. They loved it.

But walking up and just doing one may be a little creepy. It all depends on the group and on how you can pull it off.

My thought behind opening with magic tricks is that you will be known as the magician, and not the potential hook up/bf/whatever you want to be.

I have been at a restaurant where a guy was hired by the establishment to do magic tricks. He came to the tables and did a little magic trick here and there. It was great and all, but he was known as "the magician". It may be cool, but you don't want to designate yourself as that. It is impressive, but all in moderation.

Try opening up, talking with them, establish some rapport, and then hit a magic trick nonchalantly. I always go like, "hey wanna see something?". then you just do the trick, act like its normal, and don't ever repeat it when they ask you to do it again. Once is magic, two times is them trying to figure it out, and then it loses it's effect.

There are plenty of websites that teach simply magic tricks... but practice practice practice.

after the Opener, i struggle to keep things going without those awkward moments, i know I shud use more dhv's but i dont know how to just start making up a story

Talk about what is going on around you. If you are at a bar, talk about funny things, things you have in common. Build rapport. Joke around. I love using comedy. It makes you seem real interesting and relaxed. You can incorporate comedy with negs. For instance, I ask, "Why aren't you guys dancing?" They give you some bs excuse. I just reply, "I don't think you can handle the heat. My hips dont lie." It tells them you are confident enough to tell them they can't handle the dance floor, but it also makes them laugh with the Shakira line. It's so simple but it does the trick. Make them give you reasons to continue the conversation. You have to feel that way.

Talk to the WHOLE group of girls. Just talk naturally and build on how they react. Don't ask too many questions.
A great way is to ask opinions and ask for reasoning, that way they will continue to talk to you and explain things. For instance I use an opener and ask for an opinion on the difference between being "in-love" vs. "love". Girls can talk about it for minute after minute.

The main thing is just be confident. You already got them opened by opening up to them, therefore, you are ALREADY standing out over the rest of the guys in that bar. You got one foot in the door.

Compliment something. I tend to stay away from their "looks". I use something like, "I just wanted to say I really like your style (meaning her clothing)." Girls rarely hear that, and it isn't screaming, "I'm like every other guy and going to tell you that you are hot." You aren't saying they are hot. Anybody could have good style. Even an ugly person. Compliment their skirt (I saw a girl with this sexy flower kind of skirt, and I complimented it). They will remember you as that guy that noticed her skirt, style, highlights, or lipstick color over the guy who said she was "hot".

I hav been reading many articles and watching vids on all the techniques etc.
but i cant understand how this stuff works in a club environment. its too loud!
i went yesterday to a club and i was thinking about everything i had been learning, but ther was no way of implementing anything or opening any sets as it was just way too loud, the music was blearing... its almost too hard to hear ur mates spking to u let alone speaking to hear strangers. any advice

The sad truth about clubs is that I COMPLETELY agree with you on that. It is WAY too loud and you are just awkward if you start to scream. The best places to go in a club are on the outskirts where the music isn't so damn loud, and try to talk to a girl by using an Opener. I was at a bar/club a few weeks back and I opened on two girls. I kept it short because it was just annoying to have to kind of shout over them.

What I did find work that day is just getting on the floor, telling a girl that I liked her skirt or hair or whatever. It seemed to get them interested. One girl told me to go some place quieter to talk.

Another thing is, (I did write about this in another post of mine), is if the bar/club puts a wristband on you and everyone in their, or a stamp... go up to a girl and be like, "Omg I like your bracelet" (point at the wristband). She will giggle and laugh and think its cute... or if its a stamp, say tattoo... It's short, and easy to hear, and it isn't a long opener. The best thing in clubs is to use short openers, something quick and easy because it definitely is way to loud and the atmosphere isn't always right.

I went to a club last night, and I struggle to find the right sets to open, coz it seams like they all in ther own realities, having ther own discussions, so its hard to think of approaching.... Any advice?

Just use anything really. There isn't one thing that will definitely work over another. It just depends on how you can present it.
I am from the USA.
Last night I went to a concert and it was quite loud. Standing by a group of girls. One had her toe nails and finger nails painted in this blueish color. I approached her, as she was to my side and said, "I like the color of your nails." SHe replied with a smile and opened up, so I asked what color are her eyes. She had sunglasses on and took em off and they were about the same color of her nails. So i jokingly said, "Why did you make your eyes the same color as your nails?"

It isn't about what Opener to use, it is just about being creative, crafty, confident, and willing to just try.

Failing is better than not trying.

Here's how to use magic in the club. Well at least it works for me. Never "direct" your trick towards any one girl or set. Go in with a group of friends, preferably with a mixed group of guys and girls. Having guys with girlfriends/wives will work. It's ideal, if the dance floor is not crowded. If you have any dance moves... open with that. Then look right at your group of friends. Don't look at any of the girls there. Just ignore them and show off your flashiest tricks to your friends. Other people will eventually notice you. Women are VERY observant, but don't pander to them and they will come up to you and ask you questions about the magic.
