Default Thoughts on voice tonality by Virgil

The voice can be very influential on how you perceive people. For example, if a man has a heavy voice you might think of him as strong and masculine, whereas a man with a high voice is considered weak and feminine.

Today a previously unknown woman called me and I instantly liked her because of her voice tonality and speech. She sounded friendly and feminine, causing me to feel like she's a nice person.

It got me thinking. That must be the reason why all that alpha male advice prescribes a heavy, deep voice. It sounds masculine and probably sexually attractive to women because it sounds confident and sounds much better than a high voice when you're talking dirty.

I have noticed that when I use confident alpha male body language along with a confident, deep voice, I get a lot more instant IOIs from women who I am meeting at that very moment.

Not having that specific voice tonality when you're approaching means lesser results. Think of how women like that voice.

Today, I approached an absolutely stunning HB9 with a beautiful face. However, I haven't been feeling that well the last couple of days and I have a cold. A cold changes your voice and your ability to relax the mouth and neck so it was difficult to make use of a proper voice tonality. I told her I though she looked very attractive. She replied by telling me 'that was very sweet'. Sweet!! Out of all compliments, PUAs know that is something you don't want to hear. I guess I just sounded like a boy instead of a man because of my cold and thus the improper voice tonality. Women don't want boys.

This isn't my only example, though. Looking back, I realise a lot of times when I opened women direct with a friendly voice pitch, they'd be like 'oh well, whatever' and they wouldn't smile. While using a deep voice got me great results. It got me wide smiles by beautiful women, and a two-set holding each other up to prevent each other falling from giggling while walking away after I opened with an absolute deep, confident voice. I remember when I had the heaviest voice I ever had, after a load of vodka, a girl stood in front of me and had no eye for my best friend who stood next to me and usually got all the girls.

So after my damn cold is over I'm going to work on a permanent low, deep, confident voice. Right now my voice tonality changes a lot and it's not really the depth I wish it to have yet.

The alpha male traits incorporation is continuing...

Definately! Theres all the senses to consider really - smell, sound, movement, it all adds up.

I sing and play guitar in a couple of bands. Ive learnt how to use my voice for different songs and will sometimes joke around with women doing silly impersonations or sing a line or two from a song. They go nuts when I mimick some old frank sinatra song with the deep tremelo voice! Plus old blue eyes used to dance a bit so I can grab their arms and swing them around or something. Humour, deep voice, physical action, get them close to smell my pheromones or aftershave.

I do it with work too, when I present I bellow out a more authoritive lower pitched voice. It not only works on women but helps you lead other men.

Hey guys FauxPas here. Good stuff! However is there any suggestions to where or how I can learn how to deepen my tonality. Perhaps there are exercises or 'assignments' I could do. In my mind all I can hear is me comming off cartoonish. Who knows, maybe girls like the 'Bluto' voice! I'm open to any and all suggestions. Good luck, and positive vibes. Ciao, FauxPas.

The depth of your voice is determined by a muscle in your throat. If you're tense, it contracts and your voice will become higher. If you're relaxed, it relaxes and your voice will become lower. This muscle helps to keep your head up, so training your neck muscles helps you to get a lower voice because the muscle in your throat will no longer have to contract to help keep your head up.

I tried it, but training my neck made me feel noxious in the head, because it is extensively used when training the neck. So I just prefer to relax myself and my voice will lower enough for women to feel attracted to it.

Google can help you find exercises if you want to train your neck muscles specifically for a lower voice.

Last time I got a cold, my voice got ridiculously deep. Well, I can confirm that it has an impressive effect on girls...

I find the best way to lower your voice is just practice talking to other people as much as you can and focus on speaking from your diaphragm not from your nasal area. Your voice will resonate a lot more and have a more masculine quality.

Also if you don't talk much for a few days, like if you had to spend some time alone, typically your voice will not be as booming and deep (for me anyway) and will sound meek and not as deep, so I usually have to spend some time going around and talking to a bunch of different people (men or women, whatever) before it gets back to a confident sounding voice. Notice a HUGE difference when I approach girls with a powerful, well exercised and deep voice, they are MUCH more receptive.

Ah, the thing about talking every day is super important yeah... Some times I go out and start talking to people after two days staying at home working... I sound like a fraking 14yo.

Also, how do you deal with people you already know? Don't they realize you are trying to change your voice on purpose?

I never had anyone say anything about that. But if they do, just be honest and tell them you wanted to sound more masculine. It's no big deal, people notice guys working out because they want to be more masculine all the time - no one thinks that's weird.
