On my own personal track of personal advancement. I wanted to learn a musical instrument. Working 3rd shift, I had plenty of time on my hands to spend a good 2-3 hours a night practicing an instrument. But what to play?

Guitar? Played out

Drums? You kidding?

Nah.. needed something pocket portable and novel. The Harmonica was perfect.

So I been playing about 6 months now 3 of those months with a bad ass harp player who used to play for Scotty Moore who was Elvis lead guitar player back in the 50's.

Anyway. It is a fun instrument, pocket carryable, and very awesome on karaoke nights etc when you can have a friend sing while you play harp in the background.

So, I would suggest investing in just 12-24 weeks of lessons and an hour a day of practice and you can be a rockstar in any bar with just one or two songs.
