Default I was told today the reason I'm LJBF'd is because...

"You live in a sh1t hole and need to make a lot more money."

I wanted to just crawl inside myself and die. Its not like me and this girl haven't had sex before and stuff. It's just she only comes around when she needs validation and stuff. Sure, we screw but then she disappears again for several months.

I asked her flat out why she kept up this pattern with me after we had a great date last night and that is what she told me on the phone today.

I wanted to knock the snot out of her through the phone.

Forget her. You don't want women like that, and the fact that she seeks you out to identifying her self-worth makes anthing she says invalid.

Sorry to hear this though. Even with all our practice, training, and studying, sometimes there's a girl who knows how to cut you deep.
Wondering where I am now? Check out my latest project:

That's harsh, bro. Just let it go. Let it go completely and forget about her. You still have plenty of other women and a lot of fun in your life, right? When she comes around again next time just tell her you don't want her any more.

The problem is she's telling the truth. She said it not out of meanness or cruelty but it just kind of slipped out as if she never realized it would hurt me. Like a statement of common knowledge that I should realize. Kinda like the way a princess would look at a poor man pledging his love and say "Pitiable fool! Do you not realize I'm above your station?"

She comes from money, was raised in it her whole life but her own actions throughout her life have left her in no position to judge really but it seems that she still has these sensiblities that she is entitled to a wealthy man.

I literally had no opportunities growing up. Among my peer group "success in life" is measured by simply staying out of prison, off drugs, and alive in a productive tax paying career of any sort.

Within my immediate peer group, most of which are in prison or dead, I'm a roaring tale of success and the fact that my job puts in contact with rich people and upper class people I guess gives me a sort of pretentiousness that upper class people find distasteful. A poor man is not supposed to believe himself the equal of his economic superiors.

We're not supposed to have success with their women, etc. It really is strange.

My sister faces much the same attitude from the rich family of her husband, who treat her like a common serving wench who somehow stole their prince. But of course she's a female and doesn't have to suffer the effects of hypergamy like men do.

I get that. Some people just don't understand what it's like to not be automatically successful in life. They're born into money and have no reasonable view at what far most of the world lives like.

What you think of you is the only opinion that really matters, remember? You think you've done the best you can and consider yourself successful in life. Reading your story I feel the same way. So you've done a great job. You can't let anyone's opinion change your view or the way you feel about that.

'A poor man is not supposed to believe himself the equal of his economic superiors.' That must be the dumbest, most unthoughtful phrase I have ever read. Being born into money or having that one lucky break in business doesn't make anyone better or worse. We're all everyone's equal. Never forget that.

Paradise is a state of mind. The man who is happy with nothing is the man who has everything.

Ha, that's a nice, deep phrase. I'm going to remember that one.

I agree and have heard much the same my depression era granparents growing up. When I remind my sister of that teaching she says its complacent foolishness. Lol the whole world is wrapped up in materialist gain. I won't join it, especially to makesome woman happy lol
