    Default Need help with fashion...

6'2, 240 overweight, shaved head, mustache and goatee. My current fashion doesn't really suit me. Dress slacks, black dress shirt or tshirts, and steel toed boots are my wardrobe at this point. Wanting to find something that suits more playful/confident/alpha.

240 pounds is not overweight for someone at 6'2..I have about the same style of dressing, except for the steel toed boots. I usually wear black dress shoes, or black sneakers.

good job phasing out that garbage. I stopped sodas a long time ago, now trying to quit on rice, and other bad carbs, but it's hard.

I wish I could give you better fashion advice, maybe I can learn something too.

Hello, FauxPas here. Excellent idea TimG,! Using movies to get fashion clues! May I also suggest Flyclothing on the internet, or
Buckle. I know Buckle is located in malls, and Flyclothing is on the web. Now these places might not be your cup of tea. If you see someone who dresses with a style you like, just ask them where they got there clothes. Also ask women! This is great opener. Women love fashion. Stylish women have all kinds of suggestions and ideas. Maybe you don't like their particular personal style, but I'll bet they will have some very good ideas for you. rjy3 good going and kudos for getting back into exercising. I am hoping my ideas/suggestions will help, and I'm wishing success on you. Good luck and positive vibes. Ciao, FauxPas.

I would also stress the importance of observation; look at people in the streets, or in clubs, who have the same shape / face than you, and check their style. Also, looking at celebrities help a lot (in your case... Paul Donald Wight Jr? that's quite an alpha male there)

I suggest either losing the steel toed boots or switching to a style appropriate for the boots. The rest of your style sounds just fine. Obviously losing weight won't hurt your game at all, but consider wearing a Sports Coat as well. I am 6'3" and used to be about 260, also about 29% and a good coat can help cut the look of lard

Make sure your clothing isn't too tight that you actually look fat and also not too loose so it looks like you are trying to hid something. If you post a pic we can give you better advice based on what you are wearing, but honestly I think if you switch to black dress shoes your style doesn't sound too far off.
