So when I first started going out to clubs at 21 I had two groups of friends, one was all younger than I was and one was all older. Obviously I went out drinking with the older ones and they taught me a lot about meeting women, overcoming aa etc etc.
When my younger friends started hitting drinking age it turned out that the confident guys in highschool were intimidated to hell to approach at a bar. To get over this (bear in mind this is not for everyone) we invented a couple of games, the most fun of which we called the "pickup line game" where each of us had to write the two worst pickup lines we could find and put them in a hat, then over the course of the night you had to draw two of them out and use one on a girl picked by the group. if you wussed out you had to buy a round for everyone else.
I realize lines are just silly, but it really helped everyone get over their anxiety because A) all of us had to do it and B) it turns out that if you say a terrible line properly you can still get a laugh and C) it turns out that women don't actually rip the balls off of every guy who talks to them (imagine that)
I was just thinking about it because a lot of guys on the site have mentioned AA and while I love the idea of giving a wing $100 bucks with the instruction to not return it unless you get rejected x times or approach x women, this is an alternate thing you can do just for fun.
Feel free to post any of the terrible lines you've come across, it'll be funny to see if people are still making up bad lines.
Incidentally we had to implement a bonus system if you got slapped (whoever wrote the line that got you slapped had to buy you a shot) since a couple of the guys would go out of their way to find inappropriate lines (if you and I were squirrels could I bust a nut in your hole?...yeah, I got to use that the first time...didn't go that well lol)
Anyhow, just thought I'd share an old school way we got over AA before anyone had heard of PUAs.
