I have a bit of a genetic problem. By the time my grandpa turned 21 he had lost nearly all his hair, and I inherited that in spades. I've been shaving my head since I was around 19 (I'm 23 now) but I've never really given any thought or gotten any consultation on whether it works for me or not. My hair line is about an inch from the very top of my head, and my crown is thinned enough to see scalp even when I wasn't shaving it, so my line of thought was either shave it or have a comb-over at 25.
I'm a pretty big guy, 6'1, 220 pounds, former right tackle, so most of that (but admittedly not as much as I'd like) is muscle. All this, I suspect, works against me though as I've sometimes been called creepy or intimidating.
So what's the general wisdom on shaved heads, yay or nay?
