Default So much misinformation being thrown aroun...THE ULTIMATE HOW TO DRESS GUIDE

He, longtime clothing/fashion/style enthusiast, I joined this forum today out of curiosity and as I was browsing the fashion section and the comments/replies I realized (no disrespect) 90% of the people on here have absolutely no idea whatsoever what they are talking about. Im not trying to come across as some arrogant know it all douche but most of what I saw was badly dressed folk complimenting/informing other badly dressed folk, which in the end hurts everyone in the PUA scene. That said, forget everything and just follow these rules and youll be leagues ahead of most.

Educate yourself, browse GQ, Esquire, etc etc, unless your johnny depp chances are "peacocking" will only make you look like a douche, dressing well is a form of peacocking in itself

    1) NEVER, NEVER, NEVER wear bootcut jeans, wear straight legged or relaxed fits

    2) DO NOT wear square toed shoes of any sort, do not wear white shoes/sneaker

    3) WEAR CLOTHES THAT FIT (slim fitting and properly sized)

    4) DO NOT WEAR PRE-DISTRESSED/ STONEWASHED DENIM , stick to raw denim

    5) Stay away from jean shorts

    7) Avoid douch graphic tee brands (Affliction, tapout, ed hardy, the list goes on)

Ill add more as they come to me but these are the biggest fashion blunders (The cardinal sins of fashion so to speak) I could think of off the top of my head, Ill add more as they come to me

I break all the BOLDED "rules" daily.

Bootcut jeans look best, in my opinion. My test is this: if I can't get them on/off with my white sneakers on, I don't buy/wear the jeans.

Square toed shoes go in and out of "style" faster than women change hair colors. My "going out" sneakers (actually, tennis shoes) are ADIDAS; yes, the same ones that were very popular 12 years ago.

I wear clothes that fit comfortably. Baggy pants and a more fitted shirt, but I still like to be able to conceal a firearm.

My favorite jeans have both knees completley blown out and I'm working on the thighs.

I liked Affliction's style before it was well-known. I have a crown buckle that I used to wear all the time. I also wear a few MMA/Boxing apparel brands. They sell them cheap when you buy gear and they are comfortable. I usually just wear an understated t-shirt. Oakley has served me well.

Yeah, my style may be a cardinal sin in your opinion based on the cultural trends of some areas TODAY. Style can only extrapolate the way you feel. You can't look cool if you feel like you look stupid; conversely, you can pull off stupid if you convey pride.

My style has never stopped me from getting a woman, my lack of trying or saying/doing really stupid things has.

With that said, my style has helped me, but moreso because I felt like I looked great than the fact I did look great. My style has had many changes and continues to be chameleonic.

Looking like a slop is bad, giving a trendy woman an obvious clothing faux pas to fix later is a conversation starter.
I have failed more than most men have tried.

Every woman you pass up is a woman you will never have.

then with all due respect to be blunt you probably dress like **** daily, you still get women that cool, Clothing doesnt matter if your a master pua but seeing as how most arent a guy that knows how to dress is a gigantic plus.

I understand fashion evolves and progresses fast but those are rules that have literally NEVER changed in the fashion world; as strange as it sounds if you ask all the fickle n picky models/fashion mag editors/stylists/etc those are the only things they would all agree upon, those rules have nothing to do with trends or whats in "today", theyve just always looked horrible, most of those items are marketed towards clueless guys with no better idea and in general just look bad or unflattering.

bootcut jeans were never "in" and square toed shoes were never "in" style to go out of style in the first place, giving a woman an obvious style faux pas (i.e. douche graphic tee, dirty white sneakers, baggy jeans, overly gelled hair) is more likely to get you written off as a tool by any woman worth a lay than a convo starter, literally no excuse for wearing affliction or something of the sort, their entire marketing is geared towards the Jersey Shore type

but if it works for you it works for you, but judging by what your saying your clothing isnt doing you any favors; which begs the point if you think you have this much game dressed like that now wouldnt your close rate go up if you dressed better

heres the thing. it really doesnt matter. if the ugliest guy in the world was a pick up artist, he could still get laid. thats the thing about this. you dont need anything to do it, you dont need to dress a certain way, and you dont need to look good, i would say a majority of people on here probably dont, and thats fine because its not about the looks though they help, and regardless of how good you think you are, its not your place to tell anybody what not to wear. i dont wear any of those things in particular, but i know a lot of people that do and they pull it off. i wear thighter jeans and a v neck. no guy looks good in that, but i can pull it off because its unusual and it suits me. its everybodies individual style.
If i get a guy some a$$, he gets it for a day; if i teach him how to get it for himself, he's tappin forever

From what Iv seen here you shouldn't have came on here and said 90 percent of people don't know what they are talking about....that's just insulting and is bound to get people's hackles up. You could have offered your rules without doing this and no one would have been annoyed :/ that's my unbiased view as I dont break any of these rules as that's my personal style but I know plenty of guys who do and still get more girls than me.

Hahah I've literally gone out in fuzzy blue pjs and a tank top with boat shoes on. Got some laughs but it just makes it easier to open. Dressing in what makes you comfortable is what's most important. Also gone out in a pink striped v-neck and pulled it off looking good. It's how you wear the clothes not how they wear you.
In life you get what you put into it.

I'll have an alpha male thread which should also be able to use for the bad boy dress code by tomorrow
Men, we need to value our time more then we value women. This isn't to say women are not valuable. But who are we to believe in something so illogical, as men we should realize that without our time(life), we would not even be able to pursue women, but only our mother who gave us life. Why do we think we should prioritize them over our time(life) unless she is the one who gives me/my children life. Man is Sovereignty.

Since when is it unacceptable to wear jeans and a t-shirt? His favorite jeans may be holey, but they make his butt look amazing. I don't think that square-toed shoes were his best idea, but when he wears them I'm not noticing his shoes. If a woman is so bored by you that she's critiquing your shoes then you have more issues than your wardrobe. Now if your wardrobe is such a disaster that she's embarrassed by you, that's another story. I appreciate that you're trying to help guys who have no idea how to look good, but you went about it the wrong way by offending most people on here.

Trust me, his close rate is just fine
