    Default Fashion in early forties

I am in my early forties (hence the thread title!). I have a young face but am balding.

What fashion advice can you give me? Should I follow the advice given to younger posters, or is it better to choose an older, more mature style?

In my opinion I would consider who your target group dance. In my case my targets are 21 to 30-year-old women. I went to a bookstore in sipped a cup of coffee and observed what the girls I found attractors or browsing and buying from the magazine section. Then I grabbed a couple of those magazines and leafed through them to see what guys in those magazines were wearing. I then incorporated elements of their look into my look. I personally can't just adopt the look of someone else. I would feel self conscious. I find themes of color and style and adopt them to my style. I am getting my look refined and the compliments on my style are increasing. I have girls opening me every time I go out now. I did have one guy tell me the color of shirt I was wearing was wrong for my look. I noticed him earlier as he had a great look himself. I was in no way insulted and in fact I bought him and his friends a shot as a thank you. When I got home I changed to the different color shirt and liked their suggestions.
Notice I looked at what those girls were seeing in magazines and not at the guys they were going with. That's because most of the guys they date all look exactly the same, don't look well-dressed, and don't stand out. I'm going for the girls ideal, not their current peers. I am usually the best dressed guy in the place.
