Default Is their a easy way to find what style works for you?

Im kinda tired of buying clothes that I later hate wearing because I don't think they work for me. So I really want to put some effort in finding what style works for me. Problem is, I have no idea how to do this short of spending thousands of dollars on trial and error or hiring a person.

Ive considered subscribing to GQ Magazine, but alot of those looks are suits and stuff it seems. Nothing really casual. And its not like I have a ton of money to begin with.

So is their any advice or ideas?

Heres what I look like. Maybe I can get a few more fashion tips that might work with the way I look. I got a few in another thread I made here, but really want to get more opinions.

Okay do this. Go to the mall. If you see a female working at a particular store ask her what would look hot on you. Let her pick your stuff out. Do that for couple stores.

Men's Health magazine and online, Askmen.com both great places to give you an idea for finding your style. Word of advice go for timeless and avoid trends.

I think dressing is a form of self expression and you shouldnt take instructions at face value. I would say that you should just bulk up so you stop looking that naive. (you are not naive, you just look naive). If you are fit every little shit you carry seems like having a serious value. If you had some chinese letters now girls would think "insecure guy trying to make an impression" if you are fit and you have some chinese letters "dude must be a deep and fighting hardcore champ".

Dude the glasses could really work for you. I'd even go thicker on some Kanye West ish lol.

Follow topgunnits advice. It's a great way to make new friends or even a new woman.

As a general tip I think you should go for striped or checkerboard button downs. They are louder and hide your physique if you aren't quite happy with it yet.

What clothing can maybe help accentuate my glasses and make them work for me?

Well definitely not suits. It'll make you look too serious with those glasses. And any t-shirts is just not fashionable really anyways.

Wearing a brightly colored, patterned button down just makes the style of the glasses like it's done on purpose. I'd even get a second pair with white frames!

Yeah bro, rock the glasses it makes you look more unique than just another guy.

Also figure out what you want the first impression of you to be. An artist? an intellectual? a jock? a rich guy? Once you figure that out (there are lots of other options for which "type" of high value male you'd like to be seen as) then start with that as a base.

Another option is to get a few shirts that fit reeeally well on your shoulders and chest, and a couple of pairs of pants that accentuate your pants features.

Either way, add acessories that you can run routines on - a necklace with a story behind it, or a bracelett that you bought while traveling, or a t-shirt that you won in an eating contest.

Clothing/peacocking has three functions: attract attention, looks good, conversation-starter/content provider.
