Default 5 mins #close: are they inherently flaky?

    Hi all,

There seem to be many people who believe that number closing in 5 minutes is a waste of time and that one should aim at building more rapport/connection before asking for phone number and/or future meet up.

    My take:
I do believe that quality should also be taken into account and that in 5 minutes one could theoretically project a great image and leave an halo of mystery that can easily lead to a meet up, especially if followed up successfully by good text/phone conversation.

What do you think about it, what are your experiences?

I regularly get meet ups off of 5 min number closes, as long as its done well it's not that bad, especially if your in a loud club.

in my experiences, i like to get the number halfway through the convo, and then either insta-date, or start texting her to finish the convo as soon as i leave her to go elsewhere. it works particularly well to insure that she remembers who you are when you text her.

whatever you do, if you get a girls #, make sure you text her within the next few hours to ensure that she has your # in her phone, so you don't have to deal with the imfamous "who's this????" text.

the problem with speed n-closing, is that there is a certain likelyhood that she will forget she ever met you within a day or two.
hence why i either insta-date, or insta-text with the girl to ensure she will remember me for a longer period of time.

    however,
if its a girl i know i'll see again soon (like in one of my college classes) i'll talk to her several times (on different occasions) before i bother to get her #.
