    Excellent video guide!

I definitely like the setup of the artwork and furniture. With most of your lighting and the dark colors of the decor, it really makes your house look formal. I especially love the painting in the bedroom, very formal and complements the bed very well.

I'm not sure what to think about that blue light. Given the theme you're aiming for, it has more of a cool effect rather than a blend effect. I think it would be far more effective for the feel of the room if you set up a tower lamp that was dully lit on one side of the room, and then got another lamp to match it. In addition, if you needed even better mood lighting, candles or a tray of red glow stones would be great. Heck, get a tray of red glow stones, and then put candles into them.

I know I'm kind of a high tech guy myself, so my place is going to get decked out in a Tron Theme: nice and sleek, with blue and white colors all over.

    Nice job Kino,

    - It can't be stressed enough to other guys that your place needs to be CLEAN. Especially the bathroom which should have fresh towels and all garbage cans should be empty.

    - Make sure that you have snacks on hand to feed the HB. I usually make a platter of Nachos so it's ready for the oven when I bring the girl back.

Great thread!! I just bought my first apartment and have been looking at ideas for setting it up once it's built

I love the idea about keeping a theme and having the place ready to go before you go out too! Two things I wouldn't have thought of before

And maybe I've been watching too much CSI but do you have any issues with all that black light showing up certain stains haha

It's not a black light actually, it's just a blue light. Funny thing is those came with the couches, I wasn't aware they were attached until after I bought them.
