Be cocky funny about it, say I am a cigarrete lighter repairman, or a white slave trader. Be funny about it, never answer directly. If they keep pressin, Id move on cause that is a turn off for me

Come on guys, if you have read "The Game" you would know, that your not supposed to say the real thing. The classic answer is, "Im a disposable cigarette lighter repairman" anything as creative/funny as that. It will keep her guessing, and you can tell her when you feel the time is right.

    Coyote My Friend,

Here's the trick. It was mentioned earlier that you need to be pationate about what you do and it is not neccesarily important what it is that you do. I can agree with that...but what happens when you are in a job that you are NOT passionate about? Make it sound interesting. You can do this by taking the simplest of things and just exaggerating your job description with synnonyms. For example, if you were to be a Teachers Aid for Autistic Children...you could say..."I discover and practice new ways to help our nation's challenge'd kids create a better and brighter future through educational learning patterns and techniques." Sounds interesting doesn't it? One of the main things is this, find something that you ARE passionate about. Anything. Let's say you are passionate about airplanes. Go to freewebs and create a website for a business in something you are passionate about. Then go to VistaPrint, get the free 250 business cards shipped to your house, and use that as a part Anchor. I have a few myself, I have two companies and a non profit. Why you may ask? Well this not only benefits my pockets by owning them (and actually making them real) but it creates a pool for me to draw from. Is she about helping others and kind hearted? She gets a business card for the non profit. Is she an asspiring singer? She gets a business card for my music production company. We typically want to try and stay away from the boring expected jargon, such as "What do you do, Where are you from, How's the weather." However; if this convo comes up in the beginning of a set, pull our your card, give her something tangible and use that as a routine. Look for ioi's. Watch Body Language. Decide whether or not to drop and move to another routine or use it to close.
Example: she said she loves music and always wanted to be a singer.
Talk about some shows you had just put on, and another one you have coming up soon. Invite her to come, promise a backstage pass for her and her friend, a few t-shirts, and a hell of an after party. If you don't actually have a show coming up, don't worry. Wait till after the show, tell her you were looking for her there and didn't see her, apoligzie for the mix up and tell her you will make it up to her by taking her out for a drink.
Another thing I would like to point out quickly, because I know I have a tendency to talk, is that you need to remember the number one rule with your inner-game. It is not a blessing that a HB is talking to you, it is her blessing that she has the opportunity to meet the wonderful you. With this said, don't be ashamed of what you do, who you are, or where you come from. Show her you are unique, full of energy, fun, and have goals...and the rest will dissapate in the background.

So is it a bad idea to tell women what your job actually is? I'm in the military, I would think that would score me some bonus points

I like to play the guessing game...Normaly when a HB askes what i do for a living (security)...I like to give her hints.

I tell her people pay me to take care of there sh1t...

Or i tell her Im givin a flash light and told to walk around the malls and check youngsters for ID.

either way (for me at least)...its made HB'S laugh and after i go from there..it may vary for some, but if you can come up with something creative itll work out.

I dont say what i do right off the bat b/c the conversation get dull. So i respond with something like this:

Me: Taco Bell...Im employee of the month
    Her: HAHAHA...Seriously?
ME: Yeah, They give me a free chalupa every month i win maybe next time i'll split it with you.

or I might say im a Lion Tamer or Astronaut and make up some quick little story anything that sounds outrageous basically. It's a bit of neg too b/c ur implying her conversational skills are dull by asking the boring/typical question.
