Default Best fashion advice on a budget

I got a simple question. Right now I am just working part time overnight at a shipping company and working on getting back to school this year to get an associate degree. So basically I don't have a ton of spare money for fancy clothes. So what is the best way to Peacock on a budget. I went out to a dance club and wore what I thought were alright clothes but want to do better. Thanks.

the best way to Peacock on a budget is to put aside a little every pay period and buy something every once in a while. go to GAP, Express (sales are amazing), armani exchange (not very often), sometimes i find something GREAT at target or jc penney so try them as well. im a big guy so what i do is find a long sleeve button down, unbuttoned, wear a conservative shirt under it, and roll the sleeves up so it can better highlight the tone of my arms. if youre also a big guy id recommend this.

target for fresh V-necks. And you should hit up nordstrom rack, marshals and tj-max type stores for some dress shirts and nice jeans. Always look for good sales and stock up while they're on sale. Also accessorizing can make you look 10x better. You can find all kinds of good accessories online for dirt cheap.

My problem is that I can't seem to co-ordinate different shirts, sweaters, jackets etc to get a look that seems right. If I buy everything on the display dummy, it looks good, but when I start mixing...it just doesn't look right to me. I try looking at other guys to see how they dress and it looks good on them, but I just can't seem to nail it.

Go to any store, and ask the hottest worker there what would look great on you.

You opened, and youre getting some good advice per the situation

yo man- you only need 1 outfit that you feel good in and it stands out. a lot of guys buy $100s of shirts, pants, etc. and it all looks the same. Go to Nordstrom, they have a LIFETIME, no questions asked return policy. As for what to wear, look at a magazine or a celebrity that you think is cool and copy it.

To figure out what looks good on me and what does not I go to a mens store with no intention to buy I then pick out all the clothes I like and go try them on.
I mix and match stuff this shirt with that jean and so on, and in this way I figured out what looks good on ME and what does not. I have some items of clothes that I use as a mix and match set and I have other clothes items that are used strictly as outfits.

    What kind of budget, specifically?

I agree. Shop at stores like macys, and tj-maxx especially. Depends on your style. It seems simple, clean cut is in. A nice solid color zip up hooie, with a nice v-neck underneath that goes well. Like Daniel Tosh ?

    Also, acessorizing is KEY!

People tell me I look wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyy older than I am, just because of a few ear piercings, a nice watch, and my style of dress

I personally like shopping on ebay, as long as you know your sizes, you can the best deals around. I bought two Gucci and D&G button ups for $25 a pop, in excellent condition.
