Thoughts about creating "The Game" into a movie

Hey guys, just thought I would ask around and see what your thoughts were about Neil Strauss' novel The Game being in production for a movie. Do you think it will effect us in the bars when girls see it or do you think it will go under the radar?

I think it'll affect us if it turns into a blockbuster movie, when you use lines and tactics similar to the ones in the movie. I don't know how "The Pick-Up Artist" (1987, I think) affected PUA's back in the day. It's different now too, I guess. Youtube and Facebook could spread these things like wildfire. Although I think it would be an awesome movie, it's better left unattended. I wouldn't want my neighbour, his son, and so on to be in the scene as well. It's current size has a certain charm. Although I know it's bigger in thr US thanks to Mystery's VH1 show (never seen that).
