The "Pilot" Card

I'm new so I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right area, so please move this if I'm wrong.

Anyways, to those of you who actually are, or have just used it, how often has the pilot card worked for you? I fly Blackhawks for the Army which is something I think is pretty unique and sets me apart from a lot of other guys, but I've noticed that when I've gone out and started talking to really anyone, that dudes seemed more impressed and interested about what I do than chicks normally are (not that I go out and try to pick up guys, just if I end up talking to one for whatever reason).

That being said, I've never used the pilot card to try and Pick Up Girls as I usually avoid telling them what I do till much later in a conversation since I think it's a crutch and it'll look like I'm bragging, but when I do they don't really seem to care. My buddies sometimes use it and they generally experience the same result.

Yea I'm a pilot too, but not by profession, just got my license as a hobby. I don't tell them at all

If I were you, just tell them you're in the service but you can't tell them what you actually do, play with it, they'll want to guess = instant investment, but you can be evasive and you have a reason

One day surprise them by taking them up in a small airplane

I do that once I'm dating a girl I like and it blows her mind
But it's not cool unless they're surprised by it
