Default Don't know where to begin

I'm someone that has no idea where to begin. I'm new to everything PUA-related so would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Thank you!

    You betcha!
The very first thing you need to do is, honestly ask yourself what your true goal is...

What do you actually want to achieve with the knowledge you can learn?
Because; once you reach your goal, will it continue to be satisfying?

After you know what you want & more importantly WHY you want it, learning will come more rapidly because you'll have a better appreciation for the knowledge.

The very first book I read was The Game... It was more entertaining than anything. The book I think would have the most influence in your game is Magic Bullets by Savoy. You can buy it from his site but shh you can download a pdf just by typing it in on Google.

Tmalonetn is right about setting goals, but for me when I was a reallll AFC, I just loved gaining any knowledge I could without one... It was just crazy interesting. That's the approach I would take if I were you, and once you start noticing the effects of some of the changes you make, then create a learning plan. Plan like a few hours here and there to get out in the field and practice.

Perhaps a question for the guys with more experience. Do you guys feel that one should learn and make progress by a certain procedure/schedule or better reading PUA material and by time and many approaches discover what weaknesses one have and try to improve these? I hope IŽve made myself clear, but if someone doesnŽt understand IŽll make a better explanation.

    Zeralda,

I'd have to say that everything comes with practice, but you'll never be perfect.

I suppose you should always just have the mentality that you want to keep getting better and better, and never settle for what you are, but don't beat yourself up about it.

Reading about specific topics like: approaching, building attraction/rapport, seduction, etc... is good to give you an understanding of what to do, how to do it, and WHY the techniques work.

Then, getting out & applying the knowledge is when it really starts to come together.

So a little studying combined with "real life" practice is exactly what you need.

I think studying is the best option, because it ties together thousands of attempts that you would have to make yourself into a "formula" that you can then apply.

I say read as much as you can while practicing it as you go along.

But inner game is all about you, so that's something that you should look into improving all the time.

    Thanks for the replies everyone!

So I gotta be honest with myself eh? Well, the truth is that I'm just an average looking guy who will never be able to get a woman to jump into bed with him just by his looks. I'm trying to improve my appearance though by working out and I hope that that may change a little.

I'm 18 years old and just finished High School. Never had a girlfriend, let alone a kiss. For the first 3 years of HS, I was the awkward guy that girls hated being around. They seemed to be repulsed by me. It fucked with my self-confidence. The last 2 years that changed a little bit. Grade 11 year I came out of my shell a little and discovered that people actually liked me and thought that I was funny when I spoke my mind. I got more attention from girls in Grade 11 than the first 3 years combined! Grade 12 was even better, I made female friends that actually seemed to like me. But that's all I was, a friend, so I knew I didn't have a chance getting laid with any of them, except for one with whom I definitely had some chemistry.

My Saturday nights were spent playing video games and reading books while the other guys were out getting laid or doing something else with their girlfriends. It gets to you after a while. You ask yourself, why do THOSE guys have more girls than they can handle while you have none at all? I thought that because I was smarter than most of them, taller than 95% of the population and wasn't an asshole that girls were supposed to like me. I was wrong.

What do I want out of this? Well 2 weeks ago, my friend who was leaving for school in a few days asked me to accompany him to a bar. I refused, knowing I wouldn't get anything out of it. He persisted but I kept saying no. Long story short is that he ended up getting laid while I ended up jacking off to porn.

I want to be someone who is able to walk into a bar/club and walk out with any girl he wants, the guy that attracts women like a magnet and gets to choose the one he likes best. I know that it is what we all want so hopefully a lot of people identify with my desires.

My problem is that I cannot have a normal conversation with a girl, let alone flirt. I end up muttering and stuttering. When I speak, I blank out and have a hard time collecting my thoughts. I'll go home later, play the conversation through my head and say "why didn't I say that?!".

High School was a let down but I want University to be better. I want to be the guy that has women begging to be around him, I don't want to be the guy begging to be around women.

I hope that clears stuff up a bit, if anyone thinks they need more info, I'd be glad to provide it.
