Default My extensive PUA history (kinda) and college report

Background: I'll make it quick. Found out about PUA 2 years ago. Read as much as I could. Checked out tons of books on relationships. Member of several forums but spent most of my time simply reading.

Past results: Close to nothing. I have had the courage to direct approach a couple times after learning about this finally and Im proud of that but I was rejected with 'already in a relationship' Unfortunately, my amount of total 'approaches' is probably around 10-15 and most of these are half-assed indirect shy stuff and this is probably after hundreds of hours worth of walking around semi crowded places like my mall and seeing a girl after walking around for 20-40 minutes without seeing one and then chickening out most of the time.

Current background: School (college) starts TOMORROW- my junior year. I moved in to my dorm tonight. Nothing going on on my floor. Most doors are locked shut. No friends. Roommate is more of an aquaintance.

Purpose: Reports and field reports on my progress. Also, I really need advice and stuff. I go to a state university and theres lots of people yet I feel I see them a lot even if its so big

You have the right idea... but you really need to work on your Approach Anxiety... trust me... it's hard... awkward... frustrating... but the more you do it.. the easier it becomes... At state university in the dorms kids get drunk on Fri and Sat nights.... this will be a wonderful time for you.. whether or not you drink... (I would drink... it's called liquid courage for a reason) Hope this helps..

What exactly are you having trouble with.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “WOW...What a Ride!”

Hey man I just started Uni on monday (3rd year engineering) and let me give you some advice. Start talking to people in your class first, sit down next to somebody and just find out about the person by asking the questions. Soon you'll realize that you're meeting people and making friends with whom you can go party with on the weekends like the above post said. Once you start talking in general, guys, girls, dogs, trees, etc. you will see your Approach Anxiety will not be as bad. Plus college is the best times of your life so make it happen!

    Hey guys,
I lived in the same exact room last year. Sure, there were parties at night but the room doors were CLOSED (and it was only pre-gaming I assume in the dorms) and things were private. The people who held these kind of things kept to their party, jock, typical popular clique group. I introduced myself to one of these girls as she lived next to me the start of last year. She was nice but she always kept her door shut and I rarely saw her except at night where she'd literally bring in like 5+ jockey guys into her room for what seemed to be pre-gaming. These type of people are just like a certain type of people I would see in class: jock-y, douche bag, talked all class, did poorly on tests, had enough douche-y friends already. This is not the type of person I want to associate myself with anyways and I don't intend to fake this persona in order to gain acceptance with them and become invited to parties. Of course not everyone is like this but the point is:
-these type of 'friends' are out
-No matter how 'bumpin' the party life is at night, I hear or see none of it. Probably half of it or more I am not down or interested or mesh well with anyways.
-I think I will try out Konst's advice as it seems to be the best choice. I have actually done a bit of it in the past already.

You don't have to pretend to be like the jockey douchebags to make friends. Fuck that, I resent people like that. But yeah make friends first, because that's also a form of pre selection. Friends will introduce you to other people and your social circle will increase giving you more chances to new women. Don't get me wrong there's nothing bad about going to a club or a party and game there. But if that's not your thing, that's not the only place to meet women. Hell the entire university is target rich and just by talking to women in general you increase your chances.

    Good luck!
