Re: Leading a Double Life
I understand where you're coming from. Frankly, I'm facing the same thing right now. The girl I have I know has almost all of the ideal qualities I'm looking for. I also knew that I was ready to settle down and take a break from the constant game of pickup. However, I'm not feeling it with her as I did before. Now, I have a hungering to return back to the ocean to spend my days fishing.
I know how I felt before the relationship, and I know how I now feel during the relationship. They're two completely different things that I know are going to occur regardless of where I'm at or who I'm with. In the end, it comes down to this:
Pick your Poison. Would you rather give up the game, give up your career, or give up your girlfriend? You can't have all three, and giving up each one yields its own set of consequences. It's a matter of choosing which consequences we can live with that counts.
Good luck man, and may the force be with you on this one.
