Goldfish line

just wondering if anyone has ever had any success with this line n how it happened..


if unfamiliar with it it goes like this:

girl:i have a boyfriend
you:i have a gold fish
girl: what?
you: i thought we were talking about sh1t that didnt matter.

i used it a few months back on some HB9 while i was in cuba. we had started talking and decided to walk back from the beach bar to the main bar n while walking she drops the boyfriend bomb. so quickly i replied with the goldfish line and got a few laughs. a friend happened to be with her friend so we started just hanging out with them as a group and this girl was persistent that she was not going to hook up with me. i played it cool and acted like i wanted nothing to do with hooking up with her and that she was really cocky and left. she ended up finding me later and we started talking again and ended up just sitting on a bench cuddling basically and talking about how badly she wanted to go back to the room but her friend wouldnt let her. i asked her to come back to my room and wait outside of the building while i got a pen to take down her name but she insisted that she would be too tempted. it ended with me leaving and her planing on meeting me in the morning at 6 am before my flight. she showed up in the lobby but i was hurtin bad and had to get in a few last shots before i left and never got to talk to her again.

sorry about the wall of text but i needed to vent this considering its some of the best gaming ive done and it was all destroyed over a nagy friend who wouldnt let her friend do something stupid. and all this was done while i had a busted up lip and broken nose from my buddy trying to fight me the night before.

tcomea and i have for sure. its a very good line because it is completely alpha. you completely ignore the boyfriend thing and show its no big deal and you just having fun with the interaction. girls love it to death

any times u actually got a close after using it?

well yeah, we wouldnt say it was a success if we didnt, but at some time usually after that you have to throw in the, lets keep this a secret between us so noone knows line!!

Crob nailed it we both use it all the time and it works almost every time. It is one of the few canned lines I use. It’s a true reframe of a situation.

• she wants you to go away
• it’s a sh1t test and she is seeing how you will react
• she really does have a boyfriend but she is willing to cheat on him.
