Where do I start - I am really shy

I'm a 21 year old guy who's always been really shy. I have issues with self esteem and whatnot but I've been working on them. I started going out and I've been getting mixed results. The problem is that there's so much material out there that I don't know where to look or what to read as a beginner. I've read The Game, I've been skimming some Vin Dicarlo but I'm just not sure if it's what I should be looking at or not? I know there are different methods but what is the most beginner friendly way of starting off?

Il tell you my friend , all you have to do is practice your social skills have a bit of courge try to open 3 sets every hour when you go to clubs or bars at the beginning . This way you will earn experience you will have a chance to try different styles\openers\routi nes and you will know what works best for you and remember it's just a game but make it your own game where you make the rules.
