First message to set me apart from other guys

Whats a good type of first message to send that sets you apart from the others?

being confident and having some social comptenece. There is no special "line" that's going to get you what you want but you can definetly make a good impression with some solid body language and confidence

One that is sure to elicit a response... usually a question. If you jst compliment us and whatever, all we'd say is THANKS. Ask us about our picture (where or when it was taken, if it's really us, who were we with, etc), our profile (maybe we share the same interests or you're interested to know more about something am supposed to know), our opinion.

I made an account on plentyoffish just to mess around and learn. What i have come to realize is girls on here have no game. I have had the account for a week and all the ones who messaged me just say whats up? or hows it goin? for the first message.. thats it. I have gotten no clever subject lines. They just say hey, hi, etc with the one exception of a girl saying Hey Mr. Nice smile.

Lolz... but even guys say that a lot. Worse is that most girls really won't message a guy first since they're used to guys vying for their attentions first.

Don’t have any expectations on a first date.
Unless the first date is a really bad experience, go out on a second date.

Never compliment her on her picture; its best not to even mention the picture or her looks: a good looking girl gets so much of that, you don't want to inundate her.

Try to look at something small on her profile, that you think most people will overlook i.e. a quote by an influential person. Talk about the quote, but only make statements. If you feel like asking a question, try to make it into a statement. Leave the end of the message open ended, seeming that you don't need her to reply back because your comment was a random act of kindness.

Style had a formula for this, I don't remember what it was though...Something about being super d1cky online, and super nice in person. Maybe that's backwards, going out to a bar is way easier than face book.
