She 'forgot' about our lunch date, how to respond?

I had a lunch date lined up with a girl met off OkCupid. She is a semi-cute nerdy girl who peaked my interest with her intelligence. Mostly I wanted to use her as social proof by taking her to a Korean restaurant with a waitress I have been trying to determine how to approach.

However, she failed to show up. At 10min late I called her (this equalized the number exchange) and she said she it just slipped her mind and promised to come up with a fun activity to make it up to me.

Not sure how to respond now. I didn't confront or anger at her, but I also didn't forgive (my exact words were a rough tease: "Well I am going to go ahead and order, so I will be here if you want to join me. Either way I figure you owe me another meeting.") Not exactly smooth, but I was thinking on the spot and I am a social retard by trade.

She hasn't contacted me back with a new meeting plan. Should I wait for her to contact me (and if she doesn't cut my losses?), give her some time before I take control and create another meeting, or just take control right away?

This would have been our first in person meeting and I am aware she is actively dating other people off the site, so I think I probably got thrown in the trash bin.

Yeah I wouldn’t chase her. Make her come after you. Crob is better with the text game but maybe send her something like “hey flaky mcflarkerson when you going to buy me that lunch you owe me.” Like I said crob can give you better lines than me, but as far as the chick herself. Don’t be afraid to freeze her out. Cut her off for a while and see how she reacts. Don’t act mad, don’t act needy, just roll with it and see what happens.

ooooo not bad tcomea. i think thats something i put on here one time. haha yeah if you want to effectively get her to owe you back you need to freeze her out and then send a re-engaging text after a couple of days. one i might use is, "Hey flaky mcflakerson, its really hot outside and you would totally make it up to me if you came and fanned me with a big leaf and fed me grapes! thanks" she will more than likely respond with something witty and then just say something back about something she can really do. "ok well i dont want you to be my slave, so how about you make it up with a bottle of wine!!" remember just meeting you isnt enough cause she flaked. make her buy something or do something for you. this shows that she really is making it up to you.

you always want her working for your attention and chasing you. a beta thing some guys would say if they were trying to play the part is. "its ok, you can make it up to me. meet me for dinner blah blah" obviously he is trying hard to play the part but cant cause he just said "ok if u meet me we are on good terms." fark that. like this girl that flaked on me yesterday. oh man she is going to be doing something for me. idk what it is yet but if she wants to meet up she is going to be doing something for me. after im done Freezing Her Out for a couple days. haha

just be alpha, freeze her out, send the re-engaging text and then just be playful and different but still make her work for your attention.
