developed a sick new opener think it could use more development

So I just jumped onto online dating because I just got out of a two year relationship and need to get back into talking to girls. I've been working on openers and things of that nature and came up with one today that I like a lot but I think it can be taken to the next level. I used it only three times today on hot 8 pluses and got one response but shes sh1t testing me! maybe if I improve my Opener I can avoid this? let me know what you think. The opener goes:

"Hey, I need a sidekick, will you be my partner in crime??"

its good but maybe needs something to invest the girl a bit more. All I got back from the girl was "Sure." so i dont know where to take this. Any advice???

It sucks cause it's a cookie cutter Opener. I've found 10X more success scanning the girls profile for anything unique, and then applying it with humor. Say she's a Patriots fan. Just say, "Patriots fan? Ouch!" I used a college team today in that exact fashion and she volunteered her number to me about 15 min. later.

Sorry man but I have seen that one done to death. Some women might respond positively, but do like Mobius does and just scan the profiles and neg them about things. I go with their pictures (if they have any) and find something cocky funny to say. Take for instance a girl who had a bunch of tapout gear in her pictures. I asked her "When's the product placement money coming in?" and she replied back with a laugh and a we talked for quite some time. Or if she lists her interests you can make a comment about those things, but avoid the cliched questions. Still good on you for trying a new Opener but maybe find something more compelling for women.

A lot better! It's similar to one I use "Hey congratulations! You appeared in my matches. I know. I know. You'd like to run off and tell your girlfriends all about it, but first -my abstract question-" If you start off funny and with an interesting question or statement they are more likely to talk just as you've experienced. Cooker cutter stuff is fine in very small doses during a conversation, but never open with it or rely on it because women get those all the time. Using negs is great as long as you come off as just bugging her (I know it's hard to read humour over the internet).

An example of a good neg that I used and worked like a charm is when I found an HB10 who liked a whole bunch of sports, but that included baseball (I hate baseball with a fiery passion) but of course it isn't a deal breaker. So I emailed her like this "Baseball huh? I guess I can deal with a baseball fan, but if you had curling on there too I'd have to block you for moral reasons" So she emailed back with a good message and at the end "P.S. I looooove curling " so we chatted back and forth for a bit but sadly she was flaky so it didn't work out. I never chase women. Hope that helps a little.

Thanks for the advice, the negging has been working like a charm, I'm talking to a few really hot girls because of it. Anyways I went through all this sh1t, sending her messages all night off my phone, but I feel like I did not create much Comfort or rapport with her so how do I approach this? This girls keeping me on my toes, I like the challenge.

What sucks is you could almost see her loss of interest through this conversation. What I like, is the fact that you're able to keep conversation going, fun and playful.

The issue here, is that you have become the aggressor in the conversation. Notice how you are asking all the questions. You have not sparked her interest enough for her to want to ask you questions. The conversation just comes off as too "try hard", you can tell that you're not being your authentic self, and because of that, she subconsciously has picked up on that. It's just too much texting and messaging back and forth, she has her girlfriends for that, take the initiative and be like, listen, give me a time that you're free, I wanna call and chat. Your intentions are clear. With your messages, there's no purpose behind them, outside of the fact that you're TRYING to be playful and witty.

You've put her value on a pedestal.

Its like trying to sell a car over the phone. Get her into the dealership, and she'll be much more likely to buy. In english, get her to meet up with you.

I agree with Azbrahh for the most part, she was worried that you weren't going anywhere. It's tricky to know when to go for the Number Close or date close depending on the girl. More conservative girls want more time and vice versa.


I think you stayed in the Opener humor phase for too long. When I see a girl losing interest, which is generally a pretty bright red light, I bust out some dhv stories and get more aggressive with a date close to see if that'll get her more interested and active in the conversation.

dhv'ing over texting and messaging will make it so apparent that he's trying to match his value with hers. She'll read it.
