Default How to respond to "How's your week been?"

Having a conversation on POF with a HB8 and although there is dialogue, the conversation isn't exactly flowing.

I'm trying to get some banter going, but generally she comes back with a small one line comment and just asks how my week has been.

I don't want to just keep saying that my week has been great blah blah, and asking how her week has been so how do I get her to interact in some banter to get the conversation really flowing?

Just ignore the question and ask something else yourself. Something funny and completely off the wall.

You got to get her out of the polite conversation zone and into the playful, fun area.

Now, I don't know the conversations you've been having, or what she's like, but here's an example:

'So, I've been thinking about getting a pet. I'm torn between a Great Dane or a kitten... What do you reckon?'

It has to be something just about anyone will have an opinion on, and I think just about everyone wants to tell you if they are a dog or a cat person. Or she might pick up the lunacy between such polar opposite choices. Or she might just say neither because she's allergic. But what ever she says it gives you ammunition for a follow up tease, and bingo, you got your fun banter.

Nice one, cheers for the reply. Wouldn't have thought of that so I will give it a go.

    You're welcome.

I forgot to mention that this works BECAUSE you're ignoring her question. Ignore it. Totally. Even if she asks it again. Blank it.

It makes you seem to important for that trivial stuff and that she's barely important in your life (yet!), and that's exciting because she now wants to know more about you. It takes her off that pedestal where guys always put girls and says, 'yeah, yeah, yeah, but I'm different and you need to know that'.

    Good luck.

Make up a story that's clearly bogus on how your week went and then you can normally get the banter going from there.

reply with the plot to a well known film as if it was your week. but make it bloody obvious as it goes on that its a film. The more over the top the better i.e. snakes on a plane, anything with zombies in it, jurassic park

This works well if you start slow, making it believable and build up... i.e. I was invited to this theme park...it was on this island... then finish with something like... and then some huge T-Rex ate this creepy old lawyer dude whilst he was pinching a loaf!

Then sign off with "so all in all pretty uneventful" how was yours?

I find its all about being stupid and never answering a question properly
