I understand your thought process, but i think you're looking at it from a strictly logical standpoint. No matter what your opener is (online) your profile is more important. It's my belief that your opener doesn't even matter because as long as it's something they react to you'll probably end up with around the same number of closes if you put in the same amount of work.

Like i said though, i think we just have different paradigms and styles of game. Your style is good though! Not knocking it at all!

Your profile is def important, but not that much. I mean, you can write anything on your profile to make yourself look good.

I believe the opener is extremely important. It's the only way to differentiate yourself from the masses AND position yourself as a guy she should be interested in. Everyone can make themselves look cool on the internet. Very few can write a message that conveys an awesome personality and that you're someone she's excited about meeting

If that's put to me, I'm not knocking yours either

I've not seen any of your game and I've not really shown any of my game in this thread, just discussed the difference between online/offline openers and the nature of online interactions. Just trying to create/seed new ideas/understanding.

With the recombination of existing ideas, we develop new ones.

I'm under the belief that it's the other way around. I think you want to bait her with your opener and hook her with your profile and the keep her engaged. But your way makes sense too! Like I said, two different ways to do the work, same amount of work, probably the same results. The open to close ratio is probably higher your way, but the ratio isn't a turn on for me because it doesn't measure anything except whose ePeen is bigger lol.

Bahahaha had I ***, I would respond to that.

I like it. Usually on POF I DO look at their profile for material to tease them about and I've seen about a 30/40% response rate.

Only thing I might add is to see if throwing in some qualifiers and whatnot might yeild more responses (or less - Idk yet).

Qualifying: "You're missing one very important detail on your profile... Zombie attack"

neg: "I see those scrawny arms in your profile pic, you'd be terrible in a zombie attack" ...continue opener after her response?

dhv: "Zombie attack opener... I already have mine: a printer and a lampshade." (optional follow-up explanation that cleaverly uses the printer to make shadow puppets and the lamp shade to shine them on a wall - then when she explains the flaws in the plan you can push her with a Sh1t Test about Zombie readiness and then pull her with a "see, that's why you'd be good to have around" - then stack to a new thread)

...Needless to say I'm gonna take this one with me to the interwebs - I just hope we don't end up messaging the same chicks xD
