    Default Quitting the text game?

Any try this? I'm thinking of all the friends and family, and girls I text. I almost think that sometimes relationships are meaningful when you see or speak with them. I know we live in a digital world where emails are important. Yes that little message can convey a thought, and say that you were thinking about someone, but just like facebook haven't you ever thought of taking a break.

I almost want to tell a couple girls i've been texting that I'm gonna do this for a couple weeks. That they can always call me or vice versa . If they don't or I don't then I guess it wasn't that important. Sure I can't escalate as fast but still.

I might get a lot of negative reactions but hopefully some positive too

Verbal communication is great, but it certainly seems like you're taking it overboard. Although you are making it so that she accommodates your standards, it shouldn't be to the point where things just seem ridiculous. Unless she's really into you, I would suspect that she isn't going to call you every single night to talk to you. In turn, this will cause her to lose interest.

Nice thought, and it would have worked in the era of Neil Strauss, but in today's society, I feel we should use technology to our best advantage.

In a way, texting has become the standard in communication. Nobody calls anymore, unless it's urgent, or you wanna sit on the phone with your "babe" for 3 hours. I believe it's a necessary evil, and to completely stop using it would be detrimental to anything social you're trying to spark up. But you must do what you feel is right, of course.

Well I meant for more than just a specific girl per se, but I think it limits the amount of interactions you have to the important ones. But you guys are right it is a necessary evil

At any rate... Tony. Don't eliminate any of your tools. They are all tools, and use them each to your benefit. If you feel that you need more closeness with certain individuals, then by all means move to closer mediums like facebook, then phone, then face-to-face. But don't cut off your pinky finger just because you find it to be unattractive or useless. One day your pinky-finger could save your life

Dayum, I'm sorry brotha. I had no intention of burning you or Style.

I do agree with you though on not chopping off your pinky finger. Talking still holds value. I just don't see it as something that can be done full out without any text communication.
