Default Guy''s...is this normal or should I forget him?

I met a guy online about a week ago. He has been really nice (for the week lol) Last night we were texting (bc he was at work) about when we would both be free to go on our first date. He did ask me to go out with him over the phone but didn't know his work schedule until he got to work. One of his replies read "Ru drunk? How about right now?" Even though it was a joke I was kind of turned off. I wrote "Oh you want a drunk date? lol" and he wrote "YEAH! lol" I didn't respond so then he wrote "I hope you know I'm kidding." I said I had a sense of humor and that it was funny. Then he wrote "I was kidding. kinda. lol" so then I took it upon myself to explain kidding or not, there's a zero chance of me getting drunk on a date and hooking up with him and if I wanted that type of relationship I (and any girl) could easily get that and that in my ad I specifically said I was NOT looking for that. I didn't say it rude but I was completely annoyed. He then apologized with "I will not talk like that anymore I don't want you thinking bad of me" and then followed with a text "I'm sorry it won't happen again."

This guy is 32 years old! Shouldn't this childish kind of talk be done? lol Or am I giving guys to much credit on the maturity issue? haha What do you guys think? No big deal? Right now I'm thinking I'll just go out with him and see what they vibe is like in person. I'm a little leery of guys online, especially attractive ones. However, I am TRYING to keep an open mind. Thanks guys

I wouldn't add that much weight to it. Dating is scary and you have to be on your toes. I get it. However, people are actually very nervous when trying to get to know someone they like. Of course things will be said that shouldn't have been said. Likely out of nervousness. So it would be heartbreaking for anyone to feel like one stupid line ended what could have been years of happiness.

So make a note of it and add it to your list of odd things that he has done and when something more serious happens then refer to your list to help decide if a future is worth pursuing.

    Woah woman wnt take that..
seem to have a hold on..,really has interest in you, thinks of you, even kissed up hard to earn apology.etc. Relations get to a peak where theres high Tension especially if the one likes the other, resulting to things like this happening.everyone has coping strategy.may go on with it.
