    Default Hired Gun Advice Needed

    Hi All,

I know its been a LONG time since my last post, but recently considered getting into the game again... The main reason as always, there's this girl. haha

So she works at a bakery, my friends shrug off requests for advice since she doesn't even know my name. However this last week she recognized me as a regular (and knows my usual order). We also make quite a bit of eye contact, at times she appears to smile and linger at times touching my hand as she gives me change. Time appears to slow down a bit.

    My Plan:
Was thinking to tackle this in steps over a few visits
    1) just joke in passing. "Hey since you know my order now does that mean you've given me a nickname" smooth right? (in retail etc... the employees often give regulars nicknames, hopefully its nothing too bad haha) create some comfort in a way.
    2) After a few more visits somehow ask her out. I've always felt nervous, particularly around "Hired Guns"

I'm not sure why I feel nervous I mean I'm pretty successful for my age professionally at least. I knew she had a BF a couple of years ago through facebook we have a mutual friend, but have heard nothing since.
Perhaps I could start the convo by asking about our mutual friend. But I dont want her to misunderstand why I'm asking as the mutual friend is quite popular with the guys.

All thoughts, advice and comments welcome.
    Cheers,

    Hazza

I wouldn't consider a baker a Hired Gun... Usually hired guns are women who are hired for their attractiveness, and they make most of their money off tips from flirting with the customers.

Back on topic; do you know her regular working hours? Once you've established some comfort with her, try and make a visit towards the end of her shift. Ask what time she gets off work and if she would care to join you for a coffee or some sushi

my recommendation is see if they have specials, see if she can text you when there could be some specials you really want. thats how you can get a Number Close--because more than likely they wont have a mailing list that they'll let people know about for their daily specials. this works with other restaurants too.

if you do become a regular--get her FB info so you can work that angle if she isn't willing to dish out her number.
Every moment counts, get out of your head and enjoy it.

I like T's advice. Meeting her when her shift is about to end is a great way to set up a "date" of sorts.

Art's suggestion will get your foot in the door, but I've never been a fan of getting n-closes for indirect reasons. They're probably successful at getting the number, but it leaves your intentions ambiguous. I'd rather ask for her number and tell her its because she's a fun person to talk to. Something along those lines.

It all depends on your level of game too though. More than likely she already know you want to bone her. If shes not the type to sh1t where she eats she'll more than likely say no in the first place if you just ask her on a date--unless you fit right off the back for whats shes looking for.
