    Default Short responses

It happens occasionally that I'll get a positive reaction to my initial message. Usually, the girl will say that I'm funny and then write a line or two. My messages tend to be more on the guage of 1-2 paragraphs or 4-8 lines. But even if I make her laugh again, I still only get a line or two back as a response.

I know women get a lot more messages than men so is this just something guys have to deal with in online dating? Is there a way to captivate an attractive girl's interest to the point where she's writing back equivalent length messages?

A more direct question in regards to the same topic: Say you write a new girl a few sentences and she responds with "lol" and nothing else. Is that real interest or more of a brush off? In other words, should you write back? And if so, what's the best angle to go from?

The answer to your first question is yes, write MUCH less in your first message to them. If you need the conversation to be more balanced, cut the fat out of your words. Do it in a statement (i.e. without questions) that is designed to get a response. In two sentences tops!

The second, is to maybe call her out on her brevity. May backfire though.
