Don't know what to do...

Last week, I went to a Book shop and plan to buy a good book to read. A pretty lady was reading a book that interests me(or maybe it was just the beautiful lady). I tried to look for other copies of the book but there were none. The only copy left was the one with the lady.At the back of my mind, I wanted to know her name and her number.But I was stuck. I don't know what to do in such situation? Can anyone please give me some advice on how to deal such situation and what pick up lines are best?

I assume this is done during day time so there's no point in using a canned speech and I personally love being natural rather than the Mystery style after I've learned about it. The reason is because in every situation, the outcome and the reaction from the girl is different so it is difficult to use a canned speech and expect the same results.

What you want to do is approach her from the side so that you end up standing next to each other. You do a double take on the book and you say "Hey, can I have my book back please?". Be sure to use a light tone as if signaling that you're only joking with her.

a) That's not your book, I got it from the shelf.

Let's talk about outcome A

So she negs you here a little. She's definitely not the submissive type of girl and you can then use this to your advantage by saying "Yeah it is, I had my eyes on it for a while and it's been waiting for me."

Outcome B

She seems to be afraid of what just happened but not to worry, you can say "oh, haha I'm just kidding. I'm interested in that book as well. You can have the book back but under the condition you tell me why you like this book."

Both outcome A and B are basically openers. It disables the Bitch Shield and lets you engage in a light fun conversation with her.

In outcome A it is likely that she will try to say something back in a joking way as if you guys are having a little puppy fight. It eases up the situation and gets her interested in you. However, you don't want to stay in outcome A state forever you have to break out of this shortly and change the topic to carry on the convo or it will die.

In outcome B, I've lead you up to the point where you are at the qualification stage. She has to prove herself to you that she's worthy of that book. It's also a playful way to tease her a little. Again, you must change the topic soon to find out more information about her or you will be stuck with conversations just revolving around the book which is no good.

You can also use some opening pick up lines such as "Hey, u like the book? Me also." That way, she would think that you have the same taste of books. From there you discuss a little bit about it and move on to more serious matter-asking her number,can I buy you a coffee stuff..

Initiate a good conversation. Bring out an idea that you think it can make her interested. This way, you can develop rapport and things will follow after.
