How to work a histrionic "attention whore"

Guys, I met this HB, a 9, very nice at first.
I was successfull in working her, she flirted heavily, dopped many hints, etc.
She is a typical drama girl: talks loud, tints her hair, has tattoos, displays excessive emotionality, etc.
After a while, I started to escalate physically, and then she allowed that to go up to a point, but then immediately started to pull away. She then, started playing hard to get, flaked on a date, denied subsequent invitations (never attempting to reschedule), etc.
Ok, then I ignored her for a solid month and a half. Now, she is back at flirting, etc. And this time allowed some more physical Escalation. But then, once again, is already starting to pull away.
Question is: how can I use a judo technique with her? Using her moves against her? What would you guys recommend I do in order to close the deal with her before she has the chance to once again start pulling away?
Normally, I would drop her and move on, but she is a 9 and I would like to see if there are any jedi techniques you guys know that could turn her weaknesses into a sure close.
In short, how does one effectively turn the tables on "attention whores"?

My guess is that your giving her to much to quickly. She is only interested when you feel elusive so this is a prime example of where Cat String Theory would work best. Do some mini freeze outs. Flirt, escalate, then pull back. Make her come back to you then when she does repeat except start higher then you did last time and then go just a little bit further. Wash rinse repeat till you get there.

Cat n String Theory shud work well remember the point is u want her to work for your attention u have to build this up take ur time and don't be afraid to lose her the worst thing tht can happen OS u learn from ur mistake also if she's only responding to u wen ur starving her attention next time u wana c her dnt plan for her jus arrange to go out with friends and mention to her wen ur goin n she can tag along if she likes ur in control these are your friends so she's easy to Isolate wen uve got her eating out your hand. I did what you recommended - I was not aware that with certain types of girls, giving too much too quickly would be counterproductive.
Cat String Theory is a crazy theory - but certainly worked in this case.
Anyway, I patiently did the mini freeze outs, etc, etc, and now this girl is behaving in more normal ways with me. I am almost there, and I am sure I will succeed.
But what is surprising me is that she now looks less and less an "attention whore". Besides, this label I originally gave her, now sounds gross to me. She is actually a nice girl.

But why do they behave like that initially?

Perhaps, I now know what to expect and do not demand an emotional attachment from her as I thought should happen at first (and usually happens with all other girls I have been dating). And also, I do not chase her at all. I now always let her come to me. I only look for her every once in a while.
Contrary to some methods, slow seems to work best here. And our liaison seems stronger each day. Weird!

My question therefore is: I would like to accelerate.
Is there a way of doing it without risking setbacks, Flakes, and all that?
