The most comprehensive failure report ever written?!

I'm glad guys are still reading this, and hopefully taking something from it. It's been nearly 5 months since I've seen Kat. And honestly not a day goes by without her creeping into my mind like a bad Scooby Doo villain. I've slept with about 3 girls since the whole Kat thing went down, and each one of them had potential after wards to turn into something more...but I can't help comparing them to 'the one that got away' it's doing my bloody head in! A few Saturday's ago was going to be the first time I saw her since we had our sit down talk about the whole situation. The first time I would see her since she broke me. She was going out for a friend of ours birthday. I was in the same town that night, and knew it would be impossible to avoid her. I enter the bar where I'm meeting with the birthday group. I immediately go to the bathrooms. "Your super cool. Your amazing. And your looking like a superstar. Let's go wow her panties off." I walk down the stairs and make eye contact with my boss from work, he yells something to me...I don't hear it as in my peripheral vision I can see a white dress, held up by a stunning rack and hugging a tight body. It's her. I don't look over, I remain looking at my boss but at the same time focused on Kat in the corner of my eye. She looks my way. And as if I'm some arch-demon she shoots off into the crowd, running away from any confrontation with me. Literally seemed like she consciously ran off. I play it cool and talk with friends, I go to the bar and order some liquid courage trying to come up with the words I'm gonna say to her. But before I get a chance, the birthday party leaves...as does my opportunity for closure on the whole situation. Since then she's back in my thoughts, crippling my ever growing game. So back to the drawing board I guess....

When I first started reading your post Strider, I thought to myself, "Hmmm... where's the TL;DR?". But then I continued reading... and continued... and continued. You're a natural writer, and your English and grammar are impeccable. It's a nice departure from a lot of posts on here. I agree with some of the earlier comments, this girl sounds like a bit of a psycho. You will not believe this now, but it was probably for the best it didn't happen. Best of luck, brother.

Dude, that would sound EXACTLY what would happen to me, I could see myself getting in some kind of situation like that, thanks for the report.

P.S. I'm kinda new, but I think she would be a Playette TDI, seems like she just wanted attention.

I realize that this topic is well over a month old, but man: Thank you for sharing your experience. As a new PUA (gPUA, or probably even still an AFC hahah) I appreciate the full report. I'm planning on posting my first field report in full detail, hoping to help out my fellow PUAs to learn as quickly as I have.

In case anybody wants an update over the whole saga...

Last Saturday I saw her for the first time since she started going out with Ivan, they're still together by the way, and seeing her in the way I did was ridiculously brilliant!

I shall elaborate.

So I see a load of dressed up cave men/cave women coming out of a bar, I know the cave thing was a theme for a friend of mines birthday celebration...a mutual friend I have with Kat of all people.

I thought chances are Kat's going to be there, so I went over to the birthday girl and said my hello's.

Turns out I knew 80% of the people dressed up, people cheering when they saw me (now they're fueled on alcohol) all running up to hug me and say hello. Everyone but Kat.

I saw her in the corner of my eye, she quickly turned away...I'm not letting this opportunity pass so I shout in her direction "Kat!"

She turns around.

Pretending to be shocked at seeing my face.

"Oh, hello you!"

I went up to and gave her a big hug.

"How the bloody hell are you!?" The embrace lasts a little longer than a usual hello, perhaps we are making up for lost time.

"I'm good actually, really good...how are you?" She looks up at me with her puppy dog blues. Just as gorgeous as the day I met her.

Before I could respond I was interrupted by the birthday girl asking me to come with them to a nightclub. THEN. A girl of whom I've never met comes over to me and says:

"Are you Strider?" right in front of Kat...I'm DHVing as if it's going out of fashion.

"I am...him, yes...sorry do I know you?" I make sure Kat is hearing all of this.

"No you don't know me, but I went to your college"

farking brilliant. Literally soaring on high value.

After some more hello's to people, they all went on to the club, I said to the birthday girl...and to Kat, that I might be over later. And you know what guys. I never went over.

I didn't feel the need to. So I didn't.

Am I over this chapter of Kat? No, honestly. Not entirely. She's in my thoughts every day. But it's no longer holding me back. It's just my imagination throwing what ifs around my head.

This story actually helped me out a lot. I was sort of in this same situation and this story helped me realize the girl I was into just wasn't worth all the effort. I read it about a 2 weeks ago, and I stopped talking to the girl I am referring to a day or two later. As a result I asked a different girl out a few days later and we went out Sat. night.

If I hadn't read your story, I would prob. still be stuck on a girl that is more trouble then she is worth, and I wouldn't have hung out with the new girl who so far is really cool and has also been a lot more strait forward.

So, thanks again man. I think that anyone that is stuck on one girl should read this story.
