My first try, and a major FAIL

A long time ago in a land far far away...

Or a few weeks ago at the mall...

I didn't intend on trying to meet anyone this particular day. I was walking out of the mall after picking up my watch from the repair shop. As I was leaving, I remembered I needed a haircut, so I did an about-face and went back in to this little salon that was right near the exit. I must have been feeling especially confident this day (it happens from time to time, but not consistently) and I walked right up to the counter where this tan skinned beauty was standing and looking down, oblivious to my approach. I leaned in, smiled, and said "Hi!". Her face lit up. I didn't even realize I was doing something right until after the fact.

I got a haircut from her and the conversation turned to sex about 2 minutes into it. I can't exactly recall how it got steered that way--I think our conversation opened on astrology and that became a spring board for sex chat. In any case, the other stylist was looking over at us like our conversation was rather unusual and maybe not appropriate for work. I was satisfied.

During the course of the haircut, my stylist became very friendly. And I've had a lot of haircuts and none have gone quite like this. But she would press her body against me, run her fingers slowly across my scalp and on the back of my neck... even I, the grand master blackbelt of AFC's, could tell there was some interest.

She said she was relatively new to the area and she started asking me about fun things to do. I mentioned a place, she seemed intrigued, and I said, "You should let me take you sometime." She smiled and her voice softened and she said, "OK."

After I paid my bill, I used Neil's suggestion of the Number Close and I simply said, "Here...write down your number for me." She did and I started to make my exit. As I was leaving, she said, "Bye, love."

I called her two days later (not sure if I should have waited that long), but she didn't pick up the phone. She texted me back later, and said something to the effect of, "Hey love...how r u?" I can't recall exactly what she said. But I texted back, said I was at work, and that I'd call her when I got off. I did and once again, no answer.

I texted her once more a couple days later (probably a mistake) and told her I was aware that she had a kid and was busy and she should just call me whenever she had time (I sense this was a huge mistake, but I had no clue what else to do).

My best guess at why she wouldn't call me back was because during the course of our conversation I had mentioned that I'd be moving out of state in a few months. But that happened early in the conversation and I couldn't take it back.

In any case, I didn't hear from her for a few weeks. Then, I get these two postcards in the mail from her Salon, addressed to me in her handwriting (I have a fairly eidetic memory for visual things), one thanking me for coming in, the other saying I should come in again for another appointment. I think to myself, "I'm sure this is standard practice and it doesn't mean anything... BUT, it's not like I have anything to lose by contacting her again except my dignity, which I don't really have much of anyways." So I texted her again and I said something to the effect of, "We should go out soon else our conversation might be really awkward next time I come in for my haircut." Once again, I sensed this wasn't an ideal move, but I had no better ideas. She texted back and said, "lol...OK". I then asked when she was free and she named a day. At that point, I tried calling her so we could talk more in depth. AGAIN, she didn't pick up the phone. I really figured I had nothing to lose after that, so I texted her one more time with something completely unlike me, saying, "Hey girl, quit playin and call me back." No response.

And that was the end of that endeavor. I sense that I went about a few things wrong, but I have no clue what I should have done differently. Any insights are appreciated.
