My first field report.

Thanks a lot of the pointers guys. I called her last night, we spoke briefly for 3-4 minutes. She asked if I could meet today (Sunday over here). I told her I was fully booked until Wednesday. She said she would be able to meet up for an hour or two on Wednesday. I told her as long as they are between the hours of 6pm and 9pm we should be fine. (I play football or in other words soccer throughout the week at 10pm).

I think it went pretty well. We haven't decided on where, we'll leave that for when she confirms with me later on this week as she said she would over the phone.

BTW you're completely right, my txt was weak but she is still interested. We'll see how this develops and I'll get back to you all

Hey guys, sorry I've been out of the country for a bit and haven't been on here to update you all. It seems to be going well.

Met up right before I travelled. Made a great impression. She tried to call me several times while I was gone (didn't tell her I was leaving on businesS). When I got back I called her to meet up and she was angry that I didn't answer. I played it back on her saying, I had to suddenly travel for work. Played out some negs and she felt guilty about it and said "let me make it up to you by buying you dinner".

Good times. Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll let you guys know once this develops further and if I need any help

Thanks guys. I'm really sorry I disappeared for a while. My nephew ruined my personal PC in an accident and haven't fixed it. Can't really access this site anymore at work so I'm finally back.

Umm to update with everything, I eventually failed. Not because of anything in specific. But over some business trips I realized a few important things and met someone that I wanted to be loyal to. Not necessarily in a relationship with but we ended up having a few nights together and got along great. So we're more into this "friends with benefits" thing. I do like her a lot and do respect her.

I've actually dropped a bunch of tools from my "game" simply because after a few months it didn't feel too natural in some aspects.

Some introspection and realization that I actually love who I am, but am having difficulty get over a few negative things. Before meeting this new woman I decided to spend 3 months in absolute self improvement mode. Although I was happy with who I was, there were certain aspects that were just killing me and I wanted to eliminate. Not all are gone but the fact that I'm still working hard to become a better me was good enough to boost my self confidence and I guess I'll call it an inner zen.

Since then this new woman and I have been going at it. Some hiccups here and there but what's life without them? I'm not letting anything get to me and I'm just kicking major butt in everything I do. Work has gotten better, family life, life with the woman, even started helping out at an animal shelter and doing wonderful things I never expected myself doing (like quitting smoking and taking up long distance running - I'm finally entering my 10k mark for runs).

I wanted to thank you all because you guys have all provided great information and even the stuff I've realized, I've realized through posts on this board.

I'm not going to disappear again, I'll be here to provide any help or answer any questions on how I got to where I am today (considering confidence, self-respect, my new inner-zen and a better life).

I can recommend any books or videos for people with specific problems they want tackled and even provide some tips on quitting smoking (I went cold turkey).

Sorry for the rant. I'll be seeing you guys on the boards.

I didn't think your text game was that bad. You don't have to be pulling cocky-funny all the time. You kept it short and to the point, which was good. Good to see that you chose a day outright rather than being like "uhh, so i was wondering when you're free.." If she offers an alternative (like she did) then she's keen.

Nice job on getting the # close, dude. I've found several methods to move it further. Here's what I would do:

Wait until Friday (since your weekend begins on Thursday), and text her with something that demonstrates how much fun you had in a funny way. Example: "You missed out! You wouldn't believe what happened to me over the last 12 hours. Let's just say it had something to do with a couple of work meetings, 5 glasses of vodka, 2 late night cab rides, and a penguin." (This line is credited to Jay wa). This will get her laughing and texting back to you.

JonTylerDiPrince is correct in saying you should tell her a few days where you are busy, followed by a couple of options for her to choose from. An example: "I'm gonna be swamped for the next few days, work is really pouring it on. But I may have a few hours to spare on (insert day) or (insert different day)."

If she tells you which day she can meet you, make the plans and seal the deal.
If she says that she's gonna be busy both days, neg her by saying something like, "Haha! You thought I was asking you out? I'm gonna use that time to catch up on sleep."

Another thing, just an opinion, but as for the day 2's, I don't recommend coffee shops or movie theaters because they tend to be impersonal, especially since you met at the coffee shop. Demonstrate that you are versatile by not doing the same thing (unless you make it a habit to meet her every morning for coffee). Try window shopping, or a walk in the park, or lunch. This will allow you time to talk in different venues and build attraction. Now, once the attraction is built, push for the kiss close if possible.

If you've k-closed and gone home without her, text her and say, "So how are you doing?" she'll say "I'm good, how about you?" You respond with "Wait...you're good? I bet I could make you soo bad!" (Again, credit to Jay wa) This will light her fire, the rest is up to you. Last thing, use lots of smileys and winks and exclamation points when texting (if you have the equivalent of an exclamation point in arabic). Put some emotion into it.
