I am just proud of what went down in this report. First, here's a short history of the girl in question:
I was her classmate for all three years I was in this new high school. Back then, I was the epitome of an AFC, complete with a beta persona. So basically, I fell for the HB10 (who btw had a boyfriend then) in the first year, made a love letter to her, the whole school found out - the usual drama.
Next year, I was still her classmate. Things slowly went back to normal, still liked her, talked to her like an old friend but acted like an AFC, submitting to her wills and wishes and what have you. Gave her another love letter at the end of that year. History repeated. Finally got over her afterwards, though.
Last year of high school - things went back to normal (barely), I somehow got EVEN closer to her (just as friends, of course
). Nevertheless, the awkwardness was always there.
SO NOW, it's summer, we're all going to college soon. I stumbled upon PUA during this time, tested it on a few gals on FB (only place to game). Nearing summer's end, I decided to try my luck on my old HB10 friend. And let me tell ya, SHE'S A farkING sh1t-TESTING LITTLE DEVIL WITH A Bitch Shield RUNNING 1000% FULL TIME (excuse my French). But nevertheless, this is what happened:
ME: Suggest a good movie.
HER: Any?
ME: Any.
HER: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
ME: Watched that.
HER: Where in Rome?
ME: Hm, what's the story?
HER: Watch it.
ME: Right.
HER: There.
ME: (Time to take it up a notch) Alright. Your turn. Ask me a question.
HER: What do you want me to ask?
ME: Guess.
HER: I have no idea.
ME: Only means one thing: You're bored. Let's at least lighten things up before summer ends.
HER: How?
ME: Why, a game, of course. It's called "Out of 10".
HER: How do you play it?
ME: Name a skill, then rate how good I am at it from 1 to 10.
HER: Doesn't sound fun. (sh1t. I'm not giving up, though)
ME: Haha, only if you keep the topics boring.
HER: Ehhhhhhh.
ME: Sounds good, I'll start. Lying.
(Alright, so at this point, there was a long pause. I don't know if she really went somewhere or if it's a sh1t test, but I passed if it was the latter because just as I was about to call it a day, she responded...)
HER: How good you are?
ME: Yep.
HER: 5.
ME: I believe that. Your turn.
HER: Keep it at lying.
ME: 8.
HER: 8?? WOW. Nice. Your turn.
ME: Hehe, wow is right. Right, sports.
HER: 3. Let's just do it this way. Whatever skill you give, that's also mine.
ME: Alright, fine. 3?? WOW.
HER: Aha, so you're wowing me now.
ME: It's surprising. It almost makes me feel guilty that I think I'm a 7.
HER: 7? HAHAHAHAHA.
ME: Don't you wish you could see me prove it?
HER: No plans.
ME: I recall owning you in BB in second year.
HER: BB?
ME: Basketball, lady. Tsk, tsk.
HER: You did?
ME: Um yes, yes I did.
HER: Fine.
ME: Ok, I'll give you a chance to brag. Um... shopping? (She's a fashionista)
HER: 4.
ME: Ok, seriously, I wow'd on that one.
HER: Now you.
ME: I'll just put 4 as well. Can't be any higher than you.
HER: Ah, so it's a 4, is it?
ME: Dunno. All I know is that you should be better at it than me.
HER: Thought so too.
(This is where things suddenly got good)
HER: Wait. I haven't eaten lunch yet. And I'm the one cooking lunch today. =))). Imma go eat. Btw, where are you gonna study?
ME: (School name)
HER: Course?
ME: MA Humanities.
HER: Ah. Is that close to (her school)? Come visit me. When you get there, bring me some food. I know you miss me, so yeah, there. Something for you to make a profit of. HAHAHAHA. I am so thick-faced, aren't I?
ME: Is that it? When I'm passing time, I suppose I could let you relieve a bit of my boredom. Of course I miss how you could do that for me. =)))
HER: Yeah, but don't visit me when (our other friend) shows up, cuz he's bringing me a picnic.
ME: Um, okay?
HER: Okay.
(Ah ah ah, I'm not done being Alpha on you yet, little missy
)
ME: Of course, you're gettin' me something first.
HER: What?
ME: I never give anything without expecting something in return, now I always get paid.
HER: Oh really? Alright, then don't visit me anymore.
))
ME: Alright. We'll see how it turns out. Have a good lunch. Talk to ya next time I'm bored. XD
And that's it. This may not be my most favorite conversation of all time, but it's sure as hell my favorite success. I thought I'd lose it at the beginning, but it looks like my persistence paid off.
I'm still surprised at the dramatic change from her almost-all monosyllabic answers at the start to her virtually asking ME to hang out. But I'm not done yet; I know that her invitation is a sh1t-test within itself to see how much of a man I am, which is why I hinted that I'm not getting her food for free. And she obviously took the bait since she added a "
))" after she "took back" her offer. Guess it goes to show that with continuous focus, persistence, and a bit of luck, even those cases that seem hopeless can take a dramatic turn for the better.
I plan on contacting her again before college starts to tell her I might just stop by sometime. GUYS, please criticize my performance and advise me on what to do next, including how my manner should be like if I ever DO meet up with her.
(EDIT: Ah yeah, forgot to mention that she got a new boyfriend during our last high school year. She's still with him now, so yeah. Just adds to the challenge of it all, I guess.)
