Critique and help needed

I decided to go to a couple malls to see if there are any decent women to start conversation with. After wandering for an hour I noticed a cute girl (5.5) working at the cloth store. There were two girls and a guy working there. I approached the cute one with this:
Me: "Hey can I get your opinion on something, how would you perceive a guy wearing a pink shirt"
Her: "I would find him a douche bag"
Me: "That's a bit harsh don't you think so? In my opinion a guy who is wearing a pink shirt is trying to convey a strong message of his confidence in his sexual orientation"
Her: "I would still think he is a douche bag"
I kept on wandering around the store for a little bit to let her digest and talk with her co-worker.
Her: "You know what, my co-worker agrees with you"
Me: "You know what, I like her more!"
So I talk with the other female co-worker and the dude and the target tagged along for the conversation.
Me: "Too bad I can't smile properly, otherwise you would be seeing a huge smile on my face right now"
Co-Worker: "Oh what happened?"
Me (told them about that douche bag at the club and that I had to waste 4 hours in emergency to get stitched up) While I was telling that story all three of them were hooked up.
So I go back to the target and continue the conversation. Eventually I decided to go for a #-close.
Me:"I would like to continue this conversation at other time as I have to leave now"
Her:"How would you suggest we do that?"
Me:"Punch in your number and I'll call you"
Her:"I have to tell you that I have a boy friend"
She starts telling me something they were doing the preceding night.
Me:" You mentioned you have a boyfriend, aren't you being presumptuous? All I offered was to talk"
Her:" You are right, I wanted to make this clear that's all."
She punches in her number.

Ok now it leads me to my questions.
Was that a sh1t test? How the hell should I proceed from this point? I have never encountered a situation like that before in which the girl has a boyfriend....

Well, it's a fifty fifty chance that she might really have a boyfriend. But you can go cocky/funny next time : "Great. He'll buy us drinks"

I have to use that Sh1t Test reaction next time if a girl mentions she is seeing someone or has a bf. Ask her if he will buy us drinks.

The other night I actually used, "Listen, I am here to enjoy the night, not talk about your personal problems." She loved it and laughed (in a good way). Continued to talk to me, and ended up number closing her and dancing with her.

Well as it turns out she does indeed have a boy friend... I made a quick call to tease her a little bit and to arrange a meeting.
Conversation closer to the end:
Me:"Hey what are you doing tomorrow?"
Her:"Well It's my day off, so I'm meeting up with my sister"
Me:"Well in that case it leaves your evening available, so we should hang out"
Her:"Sure come hang out with me and my boyfriend [bf's name]"
Me:"I'll consider it, talk to you later, bye"

You can go strong and actually go to hang-out) Then we'll see if she really has a bf. Most likely she'll either Flake or make up some bs excuse as to why her bf hasn't showed up.

Well the strange thing is, when I called her she was with her bf and I could actually hear him in the background. Anyway we'll see how it goes. I have been considering ditching that target and moving on to the next one.
