I don't know what to say.

I went to my friends going away party. I am kind of disappointed in myself. Although I managed to talk to some girls I feel like I did not receive much IOIs. The problem was I was opening great but when I comes to conversations I don't know what to say. Well, i do know what to say, but I feel like what I say is boring and I cannot come up with clever answers. This is a huge problem for me. I therefor gave up and left early with a HB5 a picked up some pizza with her. On my train ride back home I saw a HB9 and she sat next to me. She was watching some dance routine on her iphone. I managed to get enough courage to ask her if she was a dancer and she said she was and then I blanked out b/c I did not know what to say. I said something like u should dance for the knicks and let me teach u how to dougiee. she laughed and as soon as it got interesting it was her stop. I had a really off day. Anyone has any suggestions or material to read/watch to help me in my conversation game? I get too caught up on thinking of what to say.

With a good life/background and some practice is enough for me! I would probably try to neg her a bit and tell her about other music (kinda, "I don't really like your music), does it suit to this situation?

But it's really just about knowing what you know, what you like to talk about and managing to change the conversation route to those ways (I think), because maybe you'd prefer to drive the conversation to other points, not music, but dancing!

exactly change the convo to talk about something u know and love if she sees u're passion talking about something it wont really matter what it is she will get excited about it!

@ helloworld & xavier : I wouldn't do that if I were either one of you. Mostly because you will come off as full of yourself. Also, negging ( especially "I don't really like your music" type of stuff.... really baaaaad move ) isn't good at all for the kind of situation bullethead was in. Negging should be used much further down the conversation.

@ bullethead : There were a million questions that you could've asked. What type of dance is her favorite. Why is it her favorite? Can she do the Moonwalk? Doesn't she find latino dance so suave and sexy?

Making her talk about herself is crucial, because everybody loves talking about themselves. Too bad it was her stop. You should've given your phone and let her type in the number.
