Got a date=)

So ive been talkin to this girl in one of my schools clubs for a couple of days, shes shown tons of IOI's. ive even number closed but i was rarely able to get her alone to ask her on a date...so i had to ask out Semi-AFC and use texting, but i have gamed her enough that i have built up enough dhv that it didnt matter..heres our convo

ME: so i was thinking...
HER:yea?
I then waited about 5-10min to build suspense and keep her guessing at wat i was going to say
ME:that we should get to know each other better in a non-group setting (i know it might be AFC but we've been just hanging out in groups)
HER: like a date?
ME: not necessarily but you seem real cool id like to get to know you better (i said this to make sure it was a non-pressure hang out and to keep it relaxed and casual)
HER: okay that sounds like fun
ME: okay cool i hope the weather clears up myb we could go for a walk around town
HER: id like that i hope the rain clears up bc i really hate being wet
ME:i bet its bc you want to hangout with me=p (cocky funny)
HER: hmm maybe

personally, i like to keep it mysterious. so my opinion for you is to not tell her what youre going to do. have it planned out but keep it a surprise.

that's a solid conversation IMO. You didn't come across as too eager which is good.

I like that one. I think that being cocky and funny is the way to go. I've been trying to do that more often but sometimes it feels uncomfortable to me. Do you just have to get used to it or should I develop a different style?
