First time out and unexpected

So, as I've said in other threads; I'm just now getting back into meeting people since my breakup. On that note, I went out last night(this morning?) with the intent to simply practice and nothing more. To practice talking to people and being relaxed and loose and lose my nervousness.

I ran into what I thought was a couple just outside of one of my regular hangouts. (I wanted to first try in a place I was comfy). I was talking to the guy first, primarily, for a good portion and then the girl wanted in. The guy was clearly smitten with her but it turns out they weren't together (from what she said). I tried to do him the favor of being his wing and reminding him to be loose and let things flow instead of forcing them in her face.

Without going into more detail.... I have her number, she is insistent that I let her call me this weekend. She wanted me to see her home safely and made him walk home. I used Kino, there was touching, there were a few IOIs... what now?

She's interested, but make sure YOU call her instead of the current planning. This allows you to keep control of the interaction and shows alpha male behavior (the phone call takes place when YOU feel like it).

Hmm, I dunno VirgJans12, I think that since she has already done most of the work, there's no need for him to put on the Alpha face. I say let her call, but intentionally miss it. Then text her later saying ...I dunno, something along the lines of u were busy, but your gonna call her back later tonite. Thats a way for the phone call to take place when YOU want it to. Calling prior to her expected call may look Beta, but thats just my 2 cents.

Yeah, that's kinda what I meant but I forgot to say when he should do so. Chas is right here, don't answer her call and then call her back later. Include the text message. This way you'll convey what I posted before while avoiding beta male behavior.

These two had been spending pretty much every day for the past few days together. One night around me and she's ready to kick him out of the car. So I have to ask, in addition to what's already been said...

Why did I get the treatment he wanted? Despite his pursuit, she was ready to kick him out of the car while it seemed like I could have gotten at least a kiss close (still, I was not making a move since I had decided previously this was his game). The biggest difference I saw between him and him was him being obviously smitten and putting all his focus on her.

There could be plenty of reasons why she didn't go for him. If they hang out that much but aren't together, maybe she's just keeping him on a string. Perhaps the guy has oneitis and he's doing everything for her, which lowers his value and attraction level.

Also, you did very good on talking to the guy first. Always get the approval of the guys first when opening sets. If they like you they won't cock-block and you're undercover because the girls don't think you're there to seduce them.

I was kind of reminded of the story in "The Game" about Neil Strauss' friend Marko and his girl, how Neil was trying to help them hook up and she went for Neil instead of Marko, who had a case of one-itis for the girl.

Update: So, I did actually pick up on her call (I actually didn't check who it was, I was expecting an important call and was distracted and was surprised when it was her) but told her I couldn't hang out for a while - it was in the middle of my finals (true story). She asked when they were over, I told her today. She called me today, I missed it intentionally and called her back. Told her I'm heading out to celebrate being done with the semester and if she feels like grabbing a drink, playing some pool and hanging out, we can meet up. Meeting her in about 20 minutes. I'll report more later.

So, she's actually asleep in my bed right now. We're hooking up again later this weekend. All I had to do was meet, be fun, smart, make her laugh, let her know she was safe around me and the moment we were back at my place she was kissing me.

It probably helped that I did run off a creeper.

Very good. What's even better is that you did it all by yourself. You basically didn't need our help, as all we did was tell you to leave the phone be and call back later.
