Easy openers..Rushed numbers?

Here's field from the last 3 or 4 girls. I opened with asking why they're here. Before they get weirded out, I mentioned I've seen them around and they really stand out.

They laugh out of humor- perhaps flattery. A convo gets going. But, the minute they leave asking for the number turns into the weirdest thing..? ME: "Hey. You're interesting. Let's talk another time" or just a direct number ask. Them: I gotta go or I'll see you around. arghh

You must not be building enough rapport and attraction. You have to game them a bit longer till they feel comfortable with you, then go for the close.

A couple of blowouts have me researching again. I've seen things about direct that say just straight up ask for the number. So it's throwing me off.

This girl was looking for her car. I teased then complimented. We talked for 3 minutes. I cut it short so she could go. Fail again.

She said she usually has to know someone. But, she'd talk more next time she has class (library/college). So in that circumstance when they're walking can you actually build rapport??

That's poor lol don't do that unless you have a seriously high dhv or she's throwing herself at you. But you can use a time constraint and say. "Hey, I couldn't help but notice you, I would like to talk to you but I have to go right now, so can I get your number and we can talk sometime?" Risky but it works.

So don't even start a mild conversation? lol I guess at the point it's indirect since I'm trying to build SOMETHING/show I'm a good guy.

Well I don't recommend it. You can't build a lot of attraction, rapport, and Comfort just by a simple convo.

True. I suppose the girls that give it up in direct are automatically attracted to you. (thinking it over)
