As a bar or coffee shop Opener, you may need a newspaper for a prop.

Yes this a borrowed George Carlin joke but I was thinking maybe using things like this may be applicable openers. Thoughts?

The comedians that play upon logic like Carlin, Galafinakis, Demetri Martin, and a couple others use this. I was thinking I would go on a streak trying to change some their jokes to openers.
