Default A variation on the opinion opener I came up with

Not tried this one yet, its based on my own experience with my last girlfriend.

"'Do you mind if I get your opinion on something?"

"my mate has been seeing this girl for a couple of months and she is making him take all the pictures of him and his ex's down from facebook. Do you think she is being reasonable or is she a bunny boiler?"

What do you think?

Sounds fine, no idea what a bunny boiler is

Less words with your Opener

First - never ask permission - "do you mind if..."
Just jump in " hey (pause) I need a girls opinion on something"

And shorten the second part

"my friends girlfriend is ...., is that unreasonable?"

Beyond that it's a fine opener. I use opinion openers at times, especially if I'm genuinely curious about a real topic

Bunny boiler is basically a girl who is a bit of a mentalist in the UK, unreasonable might be a better phrase for it...

I like this Opener, mite use it tonight over town il let you know how it goes.

I think bunny boiler came from that film (mite be basic instinct) when the chick boils the pet rabbit coz shes nuts. Its a popular in the uk we use it al the time.
