As the title says, Dale Carnegie's, How to Win Friends and Influence People.

As it applies to PU, this book could have been renamed, How to Maximize your social proof. All the tools to use point people to your advantage. For guys who claim to have no friends or think there is something wrong with their personality as well.

It is common sense, but it's common sense called to your attention. I'm sure you know plenty of people who lack what we call "common sense."

It's a foundational book. If you don't appreciate the classics then it's not for you.

This is an awesome book. After each chapter, you say to yourself "Well...DUH! I already knew that!" Then you go out and realize how you break every rule called to attention in the book. It's very much like the dating books I've read. If you put it into practice (there's an entire chapter devoted to smiling) you see how powerful the techniques are.

I agree with the above. All of the points are so damn obvious, however - if you really think about it, I bet you're not living by the rules set out as well as you might think.

I've found this helps me a lot in my business relationships.

I got hold of an audio book on this, i'd definitely recommend it.

I've started reading this book, and while I believe it's a good book for acquiring more friends, I don't think applying the techniques in the field would help you win girls over. It seems to me that you would come off as a "nice guy". But it is a good book, and thanks for suggesting it

I think you misunderstood the thread starter.

HE said this book was more about improving your social life, so when you go out sarging or whatever you will have social proof.

FauxPas here. My thoughts on this or any book that you might say "well ya, no sh#t Sherlock", is it makes you conscious of the points it's stressing. If I tell you keep your eyes open for gold coins your going to automatically become more in tune with the enviroment and keep a eagle's eye peeled for gold coins! I haven't really told you something you didn't know, I just raised your awareness. There are somethings we all might have done before we got involved with the PUA Community that were PUA like. But now that we are here we are more aware, more linear in our Game. Just my two cents. Good luck, good vibes. Ciao, FauxPas.
