If some of you guys are considering fast weight loss, then you may want to look at the Cambridge Weight Plan.
I got one-to-one appointments once a week to monitor my progress (weight and waist measurements), to give me counseling and to buy the food itself.
Essentially your are given 'meals', which are sachets of powder that you generally add hot water to. Each small portion are made to nutritional specification, each meal gives EXACTLY what you need to SURVIVE. So you'll actually be consuming low calories, but still getting everything else you need. I'm not a nutritionist, so don't ask me about the science behind it all.
By the time I left the country to go traveling (two years ago), I had lost around 4 stones in 3 months. I went from a pavement cracking 23 stones to a much lighter 19 stones. Since then I've been managing my weight; I'm 16 stones and putting some serious weight back on... as muscle mass. Hitting the gym 4-5 times a week .
