Hey guys, I think I have been reading the wrong kind of books! I realize that I can't relate to the Mystery method kinda pickup stuff. I am pretty quiet and prefer to chime into conversations when I have something valuable to say rather than just run my mouth with silly stuff for the sake of conversation. I like to think of myself as the strong quiet type. Its really not a confidence or shyness issue. I like to think that when you aren't constantly making small talk or running your mouth people respect what you do say more. Certainly this has been my experience in other facets of life- business and social settings with male friends however I can't report the same with respect to pick up. There have got to be some PUAs out there who operate this way; I'd really like to find some experts out there who's style I can model. Any suggestions? The only one I've found that comes close is Robert Greene.
I admire strong silent type characters like John Hamm (Don Draper), John Wayne, and Clint Eastwood who always seem to get the girl. Is this just a work of fiction or can this actually be a legitimate pickup strategy?
