Default Ear Plugs in Loud Clubs

I posted here Because Ears need health too.

I have sensative ears and was wondering for a while if wearing ear plugs in the club would be a dlv. Found out tonight: they won't. ...not intrisically.

Wearing Brightly Colored Earplugs on the dance floor is...

peacocking - IF people notice your ear plugs (lets say they're glowing mad under the black lights) it will only draw attention to you. Sooooo if you are already dancing like a fiend then HUGE dhv! If you're doing the white-guy elbow*snap dance, then yeah, slight DLV. And if you're simply grooving mildly along with the beat (like everyone else, not dancing either terrible or great, just average) then yes - DHV because you stand out.

Unnoticable - however it is unlikely that anyone will even notice. I was dancing tonight and even sober, with good eyesight, I still couldn't really tell which girls were wearing earrings - and no one is going to spend that much energy to check your ears.

More Comfortable than the risk of DLV is uncomfortable - as long as you aren't dancing like a fool in the bad way (see video below for the good way ) then wearing earplugs will be a DHV. And even if you do dance wierd, the increase in physical comfort is way worth the slight DLV IMHO

Not Appropriate in Quiet Places - if you plan on leaving the dance floor more frequently than every now and then to get a drink of got to the bathroom then I'd say take them out. If you are hanging on the pattio or chilling in the quieter lounge section with ear plugs in then you will be stared at like the special kid let loose at the mall.

A Great Place to Practice Your Lip Reading - a useful skill because, let's face it, you can't hear anything in the club anyway

your not the only one with sensitive ears, i have the problem that clubs are too loud too. i have found some really awesome concert plugs that glow in the dark, (got them at a concert for like 5 bucks) they are definately lagit peacocking gear, however they only get noticed when you take them out to talk to someone. (wich i recomend doing) you can also use the sensitive ears thing to Isolate your target to a quieter place more conductive to convorsation

i always wondered if it would be socially acceptable for me to do that, so thanks for posting that, i never even though of the peacocking aspect of it, but i like it
If i get a guy some a$$, he gets it for a day; if i teach him how to get it for himself, he's tappin forever

Yeah, I gotta think about wearing those too. I already have one damaged ear and can only hear the bass noises (like dolby surround/DTS) on one ear. Don't wanna damage that one too . I have to say, I never really thought it was socially acceptable either. Might give it a try soon.

    BTW.... GANGNAM STYLE!!

Is the gangnam style dance a dhv, or dlv?
It's totally absurd, but the song is smoking hot right now.

Virgil, I got some hearing problems too. I have a hell of a time trying to hear people in loud bars, clubs. Never thought to use that as an iso technique though!

There's a vid tutorial of the gangnam dance, dude's other vids are pretty freaking solid too!

Check out "pickupdance" on youtube, can't post links yet.
